I am a simple guy from west Kentucky who just loves to worship the Lord and lead others into His presence. I was saved and set free in 1997. I have been leading worship in various venues and churches since then. I am a Presence junkie and I love to gaze on His beautify and worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness. I love to see people being transformed by His presence. Many times, God takes them by surprise. I love to sing the Word of the Lord over people; it is usually a powerful and fresh moment in their lives. Seeing people touched and transformed in His presence is a main motivator for continuing to lead worship; I love to see Him working. God has given me an anointing for boldness and freedom in worship which is, in itself, a form or worship leading. You, know like David dancing before the Arc? I also takes some hits like David did, but I don't care. My day job is as a plant pathologist with the University of Kentucky. I have a wonderful wife, Kathy, two daughters, a son and seven grandchildren. God has richly blessed me. So far I have recorded 5 cds; I give them away as a side ministry. I record in a home studio and it has become a sort of hobby for me. The songs the Lord gives me are not for everyone, and most are certainly not your standard praise and worship song. Still, God draws certain of His children from here and there to hear this or that song I have written and He blesses them through it/them. He is my "manager", so to speak.
I like most of Jason Upton's and Nic Billman's music. Beyond that, I am drawn to songs rather hit and miss and cannot say I have any particular favorites. I have recently been drawn to some of the Jesus Culture music recently (i.e., associated with Bethel Church in Redding, CA). Bill Doney's music is great, too.
