I have a wide variety in musical tastes and experiences. In my former secular life I played bass guitar with 70s rock bands in clubs, and a ton of traditional country and western ( yes there is a difference ) and eventually ending up in a Branson MO Show, followed by upright in a Branson theme park. I finally met a gorgeous blonde that already had a little girl, and knew it was time to get a real job. Nowadays I work in a Wastewater Treatment plant maintaining electronics old and new, communications, and networks. In 2003 a buddy left town leavning an opening at a small seeker-based church in a movie theater. I had to switch to guitar to fill the space between a keyboard and a drumset. I had always dreamed of playing somewhere that my whole family could be there, and God has given me that opportunity. I listen to anything that strikes me. I refuse to be stuck in one rut, and enjoy several genres each day.
I play a Gibson Les Paul Classic, Fender Am Std Strat, Gibson Firebird, and a pair of boutique basses by Bill Conklin. I build a handful of my own effects, mod others as I please, and try not to depend on the POD XT the church owns. My goal on Sunday morning is to be invisible, and hope that people see past me to what the original songwriter intended without too much of my own embellishment. I'm grateful for God's love and all that he has allowed me to do.

Hi Jim, thanks for the invite. I like your selection of guitars. It's time for me to trade in my 30-year-old Takamine on an accoustic with a little better action. The hands...they're always the first to go!
