Hey Charles, I hope all is well with you. Retired but not out I hope.
You are a wise & experienced Man of God. Your wealth of experience is essential for new worship leaders to glean from. Even tho the songs are different today the key purpose is still the same. I really appreciate reading your comments to songwriters, outlining your thoughts about songs.
I have a similar outlook.
Worship songs = Singing to God.
Praise songs = Singing about God.
Testimony = personal story about experience.
Inspirational songs = encouragement to the church.
Keep commenting & being effective. This network needs your voice.

Hey Charles, just read one of your posts in the forums...I hope you're finding a place where you can minister in worship. Can't let these "retirements or something" go on forever, you know!
Thanks for you comments re: Faith Is The Dance. Yes, you may repost it; I am very interested in collaboration. The 3/4 (waltz) rhythm was intentional in the lyrics as I felt it supported the imagery. But I would be open to explore other ideas...
HI CHARLES ,how are you doing,it seems we have all been pretty quite lately, maybe its the gearing down for the Christmas that every one is busy.Anyway just keeping in touch, any new events happening,in your part of the world,i pray the LORD keep you and bless you .
Yes, John and I used to go to church together here. And we still talk quite often. I broke the guitar in India last year ministering there and was able to have it repaired by a good friend here. It plays just as good or better. Thanks. Take care J.
Hey Charles - Yes, I'm exactly who you think I am, from Songfight and the short-lived Worship Junction. I signed up after seeing your SF post about this site and haven't really looked around enough to know what goes on around here yet.
