Well , actually , yes, I do have the gift of encouragement. But, I do want to make it clear that when I encourage ( and yes, that is often) It comes from authenticity and the desire to speak truth that empowers the servant of God. And my encouragement always comes from what I feel God has laid on my heart. ;-)
Sooo that first chapter... eeks...that was a good one! And convicting may I add... Strait out and bold...get rid of your pride and know your theology. I agree. I plan to continue to search and stive for that. Feel free to share what your learning. I'd love to hear about it!
LOL wow, that's great that you are reading Worship Matters. I just read chapter 18 yesterday, which ends with 2 cor. 3:18 ..hmmmm reminded me of a song I know *wink* ..... "God intends to transform us into his Image as we behold His Glory....The Joy is ours, the Glory is His." ~ Bob Kauflin
I have a feeling that you will see some things you are already doing as well!
Yes, I read and re-read Matt Redman’s books often myself. They are quite encouraging and really put a perspective on why and what you are doing when you worship.
I am really encouraged by you! That song, Unveil has been stuck in my head for days now. I just love to worship to it. So I hop on and listen. I think I have it about memorized I even found myself absent mindedly singing it while making breakfast this morning. The husband asked where I’d heard the song, since he did not recognize it. He really liked it too! I am so thrilled that you are willing to share the chord charts with me! Yes, it is the church’s music and Absolutely Jesus is Trustworthy (that made me smile) But most people are also looking for the green right alongside that. So I have to say, I really respect you for that!
Please Tell Chris that he has a harmony fan that really appreciates what he did on that video. I am quite the harmony buff. There is nothing more pleasurable for me than hearing a perfect harmony! It’s simply beautiful the way you two did that! No wonder you were in the top four!
Anyhow, take your time on the chord charts. But please know it is so much appreciated! God bless you! And hey, I’d love to see more blogs of yours too!
Well, I have to say... let me know when you get the recorded stuff out. I'd love to purchase a copy :-) For now...well wow! You are willing to give out the music! Thanks so much! Well if you already have chord charts made for your team I would have to say I was most moved by the song "To glorify" and also, the song that starts the resumentary. Wow! I would love to have the music to those and present it to my church team. What beautiful harmonies!!! Wow!
I just checked out the rest of your songs on You Tube. I have a question for you: Are those songs recorded for purchase or at least the sheet music? I was really moved by the song "To glorify" I'd love to run that past the team at my church :-)
Wow! Thanks so much for telling me your story under my blog post! I hope now, that anyone who reads my post may also be encouraged by your comment! That blesses my heart so much to see that I've encouraged you! I will be praying for a healthy child for you! And yes, I used the Angel Care monitor for two years after Amber was born simply for the feature that detects movement and alarms you if the infant would stop moving/breathing in the night. You ought to conisder that. It's indespensible peace of mind when your little one is first born :-) Please, let me know how I can pray for you!
I loved the song, Is that a hymn?
LOL, glad to hear you tend to keep the clothes on for worship. Variety, I love it myself, I've always had an appreciation for most everything between Hank Williams Sr. and Third Day. But, I have to admit, I don't often listen to secular music anymore. I can still appreciate it but I find myself feeling empty afterward. I listen mainly to Contemporary Christian music now.
One other thing, I'm originally from the Central Michigan area. Down here in the South they say your a Yankee if you're just visiting but now they call me a Damned Yankee because we moved here about 4 years ago. Oh well, we love the weather, wish we could see family more often but we wouldn't move back to the cold and snow for anything.
Daniel, after coming to your page and looking at your pictures I get the feeling you might be more of a naturalist when it come to music. I used to play upright bass or guitar in a band that played old time music. Then this same band switched to playing traditional Irish and Scottish music. I really miss those days and the natural, unplugged sound. In the Irish band I played either guitar or bodhran, man I miss those days!!!
