Looking for a church

My wife and I recently moved to the Triad Area in NC. We have been looking for a church for 3 years. We are looking for a sprit filled chuch (that takes care of the music issues), 500+, and the pastor actually has something to say. No track meet please. We are currently attending Westover and love the pastor, but the "Frozen Chosen" is not for us. We are from Grand Rapids, MI and were members of Rez Life so I confess the bench mark is very high.

Smaller churches tend to have pastors that want to have their little groups, manage things, and keep control. And yes, I am from a minister's family

Even still, I would just caution that we be careful not to have checklists and requirements for a church when who knows what kind of church He wants us to be at because He may want to stretch you by helping with a church that is "missions challenged." Just my two cents.

It is more like discerning the place where God would have you die to self and serve

To find the former start with a check list -

To find the latter proceed in humlity and prayer . . .

All because Walmart has cheaper prices it doesn't mean they are more godly ... go figure!

Yes, we are still looking for a church, We have decided to attend Calvary of the Triad AoG for the summer, however this weekend will will go to Harvest Church since an outstanding preacher (Mark Hankins) will be there all weekend. I am open to speaking with you no problem.
