1 Corinthians 15:25-26 (NIV)
"For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death ..."

My mother recently died. Our family misses her very much.

I use to think that people were my enemy.

Now I understand why death--not flesh and bone, people or the devil-- is the last enemy.

But, the resurrected Christ reigns over death.

My mom believed in Christ.

Because she believed, she didn't die, really.

She lives because of Him!

John 11:21-26 (The Message)
"Martha said, 'Master, if you'd been here, my brother wouldn't have died. Even now, I know that whatever you ask God he will give you.' Jesus said, 'Your brother will be raised up.'

Martha replied, 'I know that he will be raised up in the resurrection at the end of time.'

'You don't have to wait for the End. I am, right now, Resurrection and Life. The one who believes in me, even though he or she dies, will live. And everyone who lives believing in me does not ultimately die at all. Do you believe this?' "
