"Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, 'How can this man give us his flesh to eat?'
Jesus said to them, 'I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.' " (John 5:52-54, NIV)Icon

Lost In The Crowd?
Most believers and church attendees are quick to assert that Jesus is the center of their lives
especially during worship.
Nobody can command their focus and attention 100% of the time but we all need to take an honest assessment of what we’re distracted by because the underlying reasons result in dismemberment, separation of one part of the body from… Continue

I tried something different this last week on my worship presentations. My whole point in creating powerpoint backgrounds is to help lead our congregation in worship, not to just have pretty backgrounds behind the lyrics. See what you think...comments: http://praisepointimage.blogspot.com/ ; http://praisepointimage.com…

It is in the brokenness of Life that we get to meet God, the meeting ground for God is a broken, dry, thirsty, contrite hearts of people.
Look at every man of God in the Bible who made a long lasting impact, they were just living their lives in a state of awe, reverence, respect and brokenness and that is why God met with them. Everyone who worship, desires to meet up with God to see him face to face. Looking at David the sinner, womanizer and killer but God accorded him to be a man… Continue

Worship is an amazing place to live in it is a
different world to the
world we live in, it is because worship allows us to get more and more
like God when we spend more time with him. It allows us to know God
more. So today the question that I pose is Worship more like an
alabaster flask or a rose think about it!
An alabaster flask is a clay jar that was used to carry oil or… Continue

Don't try to highlighter your singing skills at Nursing homes. I had to laugh the other day I was setting up music for the nursing home. As i was set-up things started to fall apart real fast. The therpist before I even got started turn my microphone way down. I could barley hear myself. Then as where all singing a long the other NA turns down the PA for the music. So here you have everthing turned down I couldn't even hear myself sing. So I just played a long sang at a very soft voice along… Continue

Controlling Your Tone
There are numerous factors which contribute to a guitarist's sound: guitar, strings, pickups the amp, effects, etc. However, it's the pick (or plectrum) that produces the initial attack which generates the sound. It is often overlooked, perhaps due to it's size and low cost, when guitarists look for ways to vary their tone. Experimenting with different types of picks is cheapest and easiest way for a guitarist to achieve a varied sound.… Continue

I find it extremely disheartening that in the name of Christ there's a Pastor planing on burning Korans on 9/11.
I wouldn't be surprised if on 9/12 the violent action of one fanatic draws the attention of like-minded individuals. Hate begets hate and what we sow we shall also reap! Our military leaders are warning against such hateful actions as it will put in harms way thousands of troops who will become the target of revenge… Continue

"... And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified." (… Continue

Here's an excerpt from an article which I wrote a while ago covering various tuning problems encountered by guitarists.
There’s nothing more frustrating than a guitar that won’t stay in tune. Here are twenty suggestions relating to the instrument set up and the guitarist’s technique which will help you to play
in tune and stay

One of the things that has been burning on my heart has been preparing myself for worship.
I used to get bogged down in the egos and the issues that people bring to the table. I fretted and fuzzed over who said what, who did what, and tried to fix all of that stuff. I finally decided that fixing myself and dealing with my own heart and purpose was all that was really needed. I needed to refocus on why I was playing music in church in the first place.
People can… Continue

I'm a songwriter and producer from Devon, UK and have released a CD "All Aboard the Heaven Express". It is fun and Biblically based, and very well suited for kids and family worship.
It'll be great for a relatively unknown writer like me, if others could listen to it as well. So I am now offering my friends at Worship The Rock my CD for a month's free trial.
If you would like to receive it and play it for a month then please let me know your postal and email addresses by… Continue
