I am married to my wonderful wife Julie and we have six children (all adults these days 😀).
I am a worship leader within our Church
I chose my email address - MySpiritSings@gmail.com - as it describes what happens when I worship
After being retired for 16 months (way too early I know LOL) I have just started a new role as Head Of Procurement for a Trust that oversees 14 Academies in the Norfolk/Suffolk areas in the UK
We are blessed with so many great musicians that any selection I make may be an insult to those not mentioned, which I would not want to do.
Favorite Bible Verses / Passages:
Well now how shall I put this. This takes a little while to get through..........
Many of you may know or have seen this.
Take time and read this cause I think it's just awesome - (Using the RSV translation because it is the version I have this data for) -
There are 1189 chapters in the Bible. The Old Testament has 929 chapters and the New Testament has 260 chapters. The longest chapter in the Bible is Psalm 119, and the shortest is Psalm 117.
Psalm 118vs9 (1189 chapters) says "It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in princes." This is fairly awesome - my abridged version would be "Trust God not man". However that is not the central verse in the Bible.
There are 31102 verses in the Bible. As this is an even numbers it means that there are two central verses. Those verses are Psalm 103vs 1 & 2 - OH LOOK 10312 the same set of digits as in the total number of verses. Psalm 103 vs 1 & 2 says "Bless the Lord oh my soul and all that is within me bless His holy name. Bless the Lord O my soul and foget not all His benefits" There are 28 words in the two verses and the middle four words are "Bless His holy name". Isn't that what we are here to do BLESS HIS HOLY NAME - the bible is facinating but not as facinating as God Himself. Oh and if you missed it the number of verses in the Bible is pretty perfect too - SEVEN - Gods special number - (3+1+1+0+2 = 7) meaning complete or whole.
People will have "a go" at this I know because verses were added way after the original text was written, but I am going to believe that as it was being put together God blessed those people who were doing the work and gave us this mathematical wonder - so Psalm 103 vs 1 & 2 comes out as my favourite.
Hi !!!! .....nice t see u here.........I am glad that this worship group is growing fast...........just welcome friends join groups and come in this family.......to worship God.Praise the Lord.Take care.
Hey Steve... Holland Davis here. I started a site called worshipsong.com. It's a way for worship leaders to promote their songs. I'd love it if you would encourage any writers you know to post songs to the site. The vision is to have a way for worship leaders to hear a song, download a free chord chart and play it in their church. They also have the option to purchase lead sheets, orchestrations, rhythm charts and mp3's. We can also add other products very easily. Anyhow... don't want to bore you - but would love to get your feedback and input on the site...worshipsong.com. Blessings... hd
You seem to really be into the Numerology of the scriptures. The math reveals the order and the symetry of the Word of God. Jesus was the Word made into flesh and blood. Putting all translations aside, Jesus message was so simple a child could understand it; love one another as I have loved YOU !!!
