About Me:
From soft and melodic to hard and driving - whatever the song calls for, that’s Jerry Padron’s approach to his bass playing. “The part that the bass plays in a song sets the ‘feel’ and is crucial to bringing out the full effect of the finished product.”
Influenced by The Beatles at a young age, Jerry began to learn piano at 12 year old, then acoustic guitar at 13. But at 14, he found his niche when he began playing the bass guitar. For the next 3 years, he played rhythm guitar and bass for his high school jazz band, while also playing first-chair trumpet and upright bass in the school’s concert band. During that time, Jerry honed his skills by continually challenging himself instrumentally by playing advanced arrangements on the bass and the trumpet. Eventually, he would set aside the trumpet to devote his energy to the bass guitar.
At the age of 19, Jerry began playing clubs and bars throughout the Valley. Through the 80’s and into the early 90’s, Jerry had been busy playing Country, Blues, Classic Rock, Top 40, Big Band, and various genre of music. He also played on various demo sessions and on a jingle for a local radio station.
But eventually the nightlife and after-hour parties would lead him into a life of poor decisions and legal troubles. In 1994, he moved to Portland Oregon, where he thought he could get a fresh start. But his love for the bar scene found him eventually with a job as a karaoke DJ. Soon, he found himself back in the place that he tried to leave behind. Again, he found himself making poor choices and in legal trouble. But due to Jerry’s upbringing, he had a love for Christ at a young age. After reaching bottom, Jerry turn to his Lord and Saviour for help and after a matter of time, he re-committed his life to Christ and is now living in accountability.
In 2003, after taking some time off from the music scene, Jerry returned to his God-given craft as a bassist.

Currently, Jerry plays for the worship team at Desert Breeze Community Church in North Phoenix, and with the local country band ‘Tennessee Whiskey’, well as other local churches and Christian events, and works various sessions and projects. Jerry and his wife Karen reside in Peoria, Az.
