Guitar Theory : Understanding The Note : Pitch

Often guitarists learn chords prior to understanding notes. This is a brief discussion of the note, and how to communicate in terms of the note. Yeah, it is about as exciting as it sounds - but for those of us who started as self-taught musicians it can really help.

This one is just on notes, how far apart they are on the fretboard, etc... I have a couple of other videos about building the major scale & building a major chord. Watch them in that order - Notes - Major Scale - Major Chord (building using major scale) and it should give you a better idea. I have some documents on my profile page about harmonization of the major scale, but you shouldn't get into that until you have the conceptual foundation from the first 3 videos. I intend to do one on a concept I learned called 'chord control' but things have been pretty busy here lately...

This is cool. Do you have a video showing what each note is made up of. You started explain it at the beginning but I didnt see anything else.

Thanks. I always thought the note was underrated.
