Dorothea, Thanks I am really enjoying your song. i just joined Worship the Rock. Havent figured out how to put recordings of my songs on yet. I havent given up though. I love the slide guitar or steel guitar (I think) it really sets the song up in the intro. Really loved it. You are a blessing to all who have the privelage to hear you and the words that you sing that point to Jesus. The way, the truth and the light!!! Blessings Sister... linda roland

I use open tunings a lot. Really fun to play around with. give it a try if you haven't already. A really simple one is DADGAD
I really like your song the Door. Cool vibe and nice harmonies.

Hi, Dorothea! Thanks for commenting on my blog. I'm glad it helped. :)

I personally believe that song intros can be the acid test of being a worship musician, rather than a musician who plays at church. That's because it is when we often see that what we think is obvious isn't so obvious if the worship leader is less musical. God help the congregation! :)

Hi Dorothea! Thank you so much for listening to the songs I have written and your encouraging words. = ) I really LOVE "The Door." I can definitely hear how much you want to reach the lost through this song. God bless you as you minister to others. The production is awesome. I could totally listen to this over and over again. = )

Great song. You and your bassist play well together. I can see how it would move a church service to the throne room. Thanks I enjoyed it. Blessings Doug

Hello, Luis. Thank you for the encouraging words!
Same here... so many of us now to keep up with. :)
By the way, I appreciate your music, too... how you love to sing about God's grace. Yes and amen!
Keep sharing your gift, bro., it's precious.

Well, I'd tell you if I knew. :) My nephew (his equipment) handled the recording/engineering of my song(s), but he just moved up to Nashville. I'll let you know if I find out. My brother (slide guitar/acoustic/singing) helped me with the arrangement.

What kind of gear do you use for recording? Very curious!
