I have seen quite a few new church buildings going up around the town where I live. These are not your run of the mill churches either. These places are spending lots of money on their fancy buildings but little to no money on actually witnessing to the lost. The are focused more on how many seats are in the church than on how many people are coming in and getting saved. And these churches have become extremely judgemental, they have rules and standards that must be met before you can become a member. So I wonder...what about Jesus? Would he be welcomed there? If he came walkin in in sandles, dressed in sackcloth and long hair ? And what about the sinners, hooked on drugs and alchohol? It just makes me wonder, if they'd be welcome there at all. Jesus preached in the smallest, dirtiest places you could imagine. He did not have to have a minimum of 20,000 ( as is the case with benny hinn and joel olsteen ) before he would stand and preach. He would preach to anyone, anywhere, anytime. So be in prayer for the churches that are as lost as the murderers and drug dealers. They are all chasing the wrong dream, it is about souls saved, not seats filled.
