But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 15:57) (KJV)
The last place I ever want to be is outside of God's will. When I find myself a little off center I know where to go to get back on track. When was the last time you were facing a difficult situation and all you talked about was the problem and how no solution could be found? But that was YOU talking; what did God say? Satan is a master of distraction and deception. Jesus called him the father of lies, and he plays the role exceptionally well. As believers we must remember that Jesus rose from the dead with all authority in heaven and in earth (Matt. 28:18). And as His adopted sons and daughters we now live under that authority. This means that we can say what God says about us. It means we are what He says we are, no matter what we may say about ourselves. According to scripture, victory is already written into the script of our lives. Yes, we will have trials - the Word of God bears that out. But we can meet every test with triumphant thinking and triumphant speaking. A negative attitude will produce negative words. Being around negative people will affect your spirit. I invite you to praise God with me that He has already written victory into my life; He's already written victory into your life! But we have to walk in it. We have to line up our lives, our thoughts, and our actions under God's authority. We have to line up our praise, worship, our prayers, and study of the Word under His authority.
As we continue into another work week, determine in your heart and mind that you will stand under God's authority when the challenges come. Even when there are no visible challenges, still stand in God's authority and thank Him for having already written victory into your story.
