This is a song from the song challenge on 'she sings'. I don't have any fancy equipment so my computer is my recording device.

throne of grace.wma

Thou art my portion Oh Lord
I have vowed to keep your word
I asked for grace with my whole heart
Be merciful unto me

For we have a high priest
Who can be touched with our infirmities
Let us therefore come boldly
to the throne of Grace

Psalm 119:105-112
Psalm 119: 57-64

Oh, I just love this. You, too, have a wonderfully, beautiful voice.

I love the line "I asked for grace with my whole heart". I can hear the urgency in your words and voice. I also love how you sing "infirmites", holding out and then dropping down. Your guitar playing is good too. I like the pauses in the music.

I think it is amazing that we can share with each other our songs even though we are thousands of miles apart. Praise God for technology!

I agree, your singing is wonderfully expressive & very enjoyable to listen to. Love the syncopated guitar strumming. Great message to the song - one of my favorite parts out of Hebrews. I could hear this on a Vineyard-unplugged style album.

Lil,
Do you want feedback? I would appreciate a chord chart. I think there is more you can do with the song idea to develop it. For example the idea of throne representing power yet he is so humble as He has experienced our infirmities, The grace represents restrained power. You are off to a good start. The volume is max on your player and my computer and its still not loud enough for me to really analyze it. The groove is really good but not sure its a good fit for this song, but will have to see it more developed first. Also are you thinking congregational, then its critical that everything is within a range that people can sing , sometimes means changing keys. Diana
