The Dream

The dream that was dreamt
In the peaceful solace of slumber deep
Deep in a realm of impossible realities
And flooded with tangible incomprehensible truth
The dream that was dreamt
When we were so pure and innocent
Hoping and longing for the better and best to manifest
Knowing that while far-fetched and far off
Dreams can come true
The dream that was dreamt
After reading precious scriptures and praying heartfelt prayers
Weeping, and pushing, conceiving revelations
And birthing unimaginable beauty
The dream that was dreamt
That motivates us to wake up, get up, and do
That encourages us to put aside feelings of indifference
That provokes us to care about our sisters and brothers in what ever form they come
The dream that was dreamt
That almost faded away in to obscurity
That was forgotten for a long time, but lingered on
That was pushed out of our consciousness because not obtaining it would hurt too much
The dream that was dreamt
Is still in our hearts
And cannot be denied any longer
Because dreams do come true
This dream that was dreamt
Is priceless and dear
It is still alive today
It is all we have left
