"As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 'Come, follow me," Jesus said, 'and I will make you fishers of men.' At once they left their nets and followed him." (Mark 1:16-18, NIV) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A few days ago I was watching a fishing event on TV.

The location of the event was boasted as having "The best fishing in the world."

You know, you can fish and not catch a thing. LOL!

Jesus, on the other hand, said that He will show you not just how to fish for men and women, but how to catch men and women for the Kingdom of Yahweh.

Below is The Message translation of the scripture above just so we don't think Jesus was talking only about those who fish for a profession.

Anyone whom Jesus calls and who follows Him, He will make a new kind of fisherman.

"Passing along the beach of Lake Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew net-fishing. Fishing was their regular work. Jesus said to them, 'Come with me. I'll make a new kind of fisherman out of you. I'll show you how to catch men and women instead of perch and bass.' They didn't ask questions. They dropped their nets and followed." (Mark 1:16-18, The Message)

A sinner saved is the best catch in the world!
