I tried something different this last week on my worship presentations. My whole point in creating powerpoint backgrounds is to help lead our congregation in worship, not to just have pretty backgrounds behind the lyrics. I think this is a great idea, Su. As long as the words are always readable (which they are in this case).

I think I get it. Why not also make the words different colours as well?

I didn't want to take away from the photos. Although I might try that anyways, keying the key phrases to the photos imagery. Would that be working the concept too far? I have used color on the other presentations in the words and like the subtle feel it gives to the slides. I have other examples on my blog. http://praisepointimage.blogspot.com/ Thanks to the comments, looking form another perspective helps me to not become stale.
