Over the last few months when struggling with various things going on in my life one song has kept helping me through difficult times. It's called 'Made me Glad' and it's by Hillsong. The lyrics (and melody if you know it) are so uplifting and faith building i'm sure you'll agree:

I will bless the Lord forever
I will trust Him at all times
He has delivered me from all fear
He has set my feet upon a rock
I will not be moved
And I'll say of the Lord

You are my shield, my strength
My portion, deliverer
My shelter, strong tower
My very present help in time of need

Whom have I in heaven but You
There's none I desire beside You
You have made me glad
And I'll say of the Lord

(Hillsong - Miriam Webster (c) 2001 )

Shouldn't that be the cry of our hearts? To bless the Lord forever, to praise and trust in Him at ALL times?!

I love the chorus of the song too - a declaration of who God is to us: my shield, stength, portion, deliverer, shelter, strong tower, very present help in time of need!

Amen!!

Hi Phil,

this reminds me of Habakkuk chapter 3
Habakkuk Rejoices in the LORD

17Though the fig tree should not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
and there be no herd in the stalls,
18(AH) yet I will rejoice in the LORD;
(AI) I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
19GOD, the Lord, is my strength;
(AJ) he makes my feet like the deer’s;
he makes me(AK) tread on my(AL) high places.

This should be our spirit, further more

2 King 3
17For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.

18And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand.

19And ye shall smite every fenced city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all wells of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.

20And it came to pass in the morning, when the meat offering was offered, that, behold, there came water by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water.

Our Lord is the provider and will do that so as not to put HIS children to shame
but remember we need have to give an "offering" it could be praise, it could be worship, it could be tearful prayer for your enemy - anything which the Holy Spirit you prompt you - just do that then and there and you will see the miracle

Love - Jesus Bless You
