"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation." (2 Corinthians 5:17-19, NIV)

On Wednesday, the President of the United States gave his State of the Union address.

Many US citizens did not like what they heard.

They wanted to hear good news about the state of the US.

I have good news!

The Father no longer counts your sins against you, because His Son Jesus, by His shed blood, reconciled you back to the Father!

"Sin" is more than sleeping around, using drugs, stealing, and lying.

It's missing the mark of Adonai's will for your life.

We've all missed it! (Romans 3:22-24)

You might say "I don't believe in God."

That, too, is missing the mark. Why?

Because God's will is that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of truth. (1 Timothy 2:1-7)

What He does count against people is their not putting faith in the Christ. (John 3:16-21)

This leads to eternal destruction.

For those in union with Christ, we must share this good news!

For God has committed us to it!
