If this should be my last day on this earth...

Driving into work a while back I was listening to a Steven Curtis Chapman song called - My Last Day on Earth. The chorus has the following lines:

If this should be my last day on this earth How then shall I live?

It really got me thinking and challenged me. If I honestly knew that today was going to be my last day on earth what would I do differently? How would I live? What would I say to people? What wouldn't I say to people?

I'm convinced that I would do somethings differently, would say some things that I wouldn't normally be bold enough to say and would generally have things in much better perspective.

Friends, let's live each day as if it were our last. I don't mean we should never plan for the future but we should seize the moment, take the opportunities we are presented with, enjoy life, respect people, love friends AND enemies!

Easier said than done - but there's a challenge to us all!

Perhaps that is why God does not reveal to us when our last day is coming; so that of our own volition, we may come to the realization that one moment spent for God's Kingdom surpasses an eternity wasted on our own desires.
