The Spirit knows...even when we don't...

Did you ever have one of those moments, where God does something totally unexpected? I love those moments!

There were a few things that happened to me, that I truly feel were "God" moments...it was like "wow"...And what made me realize it was God, and no one else, was how I had been praying about these things...

It would take too much time to go into detail - but suffice to say over the past two days, I have had two wonderful things happen that resolved worries or problems, that I am fulling giving God credit for...One especially, because I really wasn't consciously praying for help - I didn't specifically pray for this situation...it was more of a reactive "Oh Lord, I wish this would just all go away so I can forget about it!" each time something came up...Well, the situation was resolved, and in my favor, a complete 180 from what had previously been decided, which was another 180 from the original situation - long story short, back to the original (and correct) decision...That's what made it a God thing :) (confused yet? LOL)

Another thing...this Sunday, it was just going to be me and the drummer with my son helping out on guitar - he's only played once before in front of the congregation, and although he plays well, he doesn't realize it yet (being only 14), and he's not comfortable playing in front of people...in passing, I said something to the Lord like... "I'm not too sure about this Sunday Lord, but I think we can handle it, especially if you are in the mix - so please just make it happen for Your glory...."

I got two emails this morning - one from my regular guitarist who is absolute blessed with an ability to lead (something that doesn't come as easily for me, except in the slower more introspective songs), and one from our other guitar player, who although he is young (15) has grown exponentially since joining us - BOTH their plans fell through, and BOTH can come play on Sunday - we have a team overflowing now! How great is that??? My lead guitarist can take a step back, and play where needed, and just sing, and Ben can get the support he needs from the other two. God really does have everything covered, doesn't He?

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express --- Romans 8:26

I am so thankful that the Holy Spirit knows EXACTLY what we need, and intercedes on our behalf, when we don't know what to pray for...when we are either at the end of our ropes ("Please Lord, just make it go away") or worried about worship ("Not too sure about this Sunday Lord")...

Oh...and have you looked at the clouds lately? :-D
