When one speaks about worship beyond just singing and music, people tend to squirm. The question I kept looking for in the word of God was “is there worship beyond singing and music”. Worship in the word of God is shown that it goes beyond words. Worship isn't an act but it so a lifestyle and a daily experience that one lives every day.
Our lives are sometimes a mystery but the greatest gift we have been given is worship. Fruit is one way that we can worship…

Worship and Salvation are decisions that one has to make, no one makes the decision for you or sign on your behalf, they are all about you and God. God is looking to connect with men and especially with you. Men were created for fellowship with God and fellowship with God is one on one.

The idea of worship is that one prostrates himself before a superior being with an attitude of awe, respect, honour and homage. It is amazing the things that can be unlocked just through reverence.
“Let us worship with reverence and awe for our God is a consuming fire”. Hebrews 12:29
Reverence means to show respect or fear, a common way in Israel to show reverence was “falling down,” “lying on the ground facedown” as prostration of the body…

Always ask yourself am I prepared to Worship God anytime, anyplace, anywhere?
When we worship our minds think about God, we offer ourselves to Him our emotions and we open our hearts with our bodies expressing to all this by actions. Which means that worship is not just a mouth but it’s about your spirit, soul and body all focused to lift up his name. If you check yourself and see that you are missing one part then there is something you need to work…

Truth in the bible has been translated to cover this words firmness, stability, constancy and also faithfulness, honesty, justice and also uprightness
“Truth also means being honest with God”.
Jesus said the only truth was to be found in God’s word for it is this word that is true. The greatest worshipper on earth is the one who understands and has communion with the word of God. You can’t worship someone you don’t know and the best way to know God is to read…

How We Worship Reason 1
There are so many reason how we worship and I have realised that there are so many of them but if all of our worship isn't based from the heart we are busy self entertaining.

Worship Is First Of All Obedience
Worship is honouring and magnifying God, it’s not confined to singing and dancing but its worshipping him in everything we do night and day. It’s a lifestyle that is lived not for self but for God. It’s a daily experience, the bible says the fruit of my lips should praise God; my life should worship without words and notes.
Genesis 22:5 The principal of first mention in the bible carries a lot of weight and in this passage of…

Is your worship worth it, if it doesn’t mean anything to you then it will not mean anything to God? Is it worth it…
Worship in the Old Testament was confined to the tabernacle and also to the temple of Solomon. When you look at the bible from Adam until Moses you will see that they were worshippers even without the tabernacle. The principle of first mention of the word worship in the bile is based in Genesis 5:22 where Abraham spoke of sacrifice and obedience as worship.
‘”And…

What brings God’s attention to your worship that is the question? One of the answers would be your response determines the responses of your worship. Another question would be how? Let us then read the word the word of God to see why it is so.
On a personal level how do you respond to God when he speaks? Gideon had a life changing encounters of meeting the Lord several times within a day. Gideon story most people know it, hiding in a wine press because of fear and an Angel of the Lord…

Mary was a sister to Martha and Lazarus, living in the town of Bethany. A town that was about 3km or 2miles from Jerusalem and was situate on the road to Jericho. They were a family of substance (averagely rich) and were well known in the town and the bible states that Jesus loved the Lazarus and his sisters.
Jesus in the book of Matthew 26:13 said “Verily I say unto you, wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this…

A lot of scripture references in the bible speak about feet, especially during the ministry of Jesus a lot of people threw themselves at his feet and worshipped him. My question came around onto why did they focus at his feet or why did they have to throw themselves at his feet.
“In Israel a lot of the people wear sandals more so in bible and the fact that much of the land there is arid to desert conditions and with little or no protective cover their feet would…

Worship From An Alabaster Flask Part 2
We continue our journey of Worship from an Alabaster Flask with a Part 2 in which we take the account of St John Chapter 12:1-9. Like we said in the previous article Jesus was anointed with oil twice in his life, at the start of his ministry just after he chosen the 12 disciples. The second time he was anointed was at the end of his ministry in the house of Martha (it was Martha’s house) whose brother was raised from the dead…

Worship From An Alabaster Flask Part 1
Alabaster Flask Worship is worship from deep within the recess of the Spirit, it’s not for show off but the glorification of God. It is an overflow from within a heart that is pouring itself before God.
There two accounts of women breaking alabaster flask of costly ointment onto Jesus. The first one is the account of Luke which happened at the start of Jesus’ ministry and the other account was 2 days…

Worship That Opens Up The Heavens
Today we talk about worship that opens up the heavens starting from the book of Judge Chapter 6, it is how God called Gideon made life his life peculiar. I always say that Worship is a response and that Worship is obedience, how many of us respond to God or his promptings. I pray that after reading through this article God will open your eyes and give you a life that responds and obey in Jesus Name.
Background to the story is…

Reverence comes from a primitive root which means to fear; causatively to frighten: affright, be (make) afraid, dreadful fear, tremble. The dictionary will tell us that fear is deep respect, if that’s the case then what does reverence mean. I believe that fear doesn’t bring us escape from God but bring us closer.
If you would read the Amplified Bible you will realize that they replaced the word fear with reverence. There is power when we come before God with our…

Worship in a basic meaning means to glorify God, give glory to God, to ascribing worth to God. With time we have assumed a revelation of worship passed from people’s experience and opinion and we have made it our own. This I say because the first time I joined a worship team people told me of their experiences in worship and not what the bible say about worship.
Worship isn’t kneeling, singing, dancing, painting, wailing, lying prostrate, falling facewards, crying and all…
