The glory of the Lord is what we live for, to bring him glory. In old English they would say glory is to ascribe or give back the honour and splendor to him who deserves it. Glory in Hebrew and Greek speaks of splendor, light, rarity, honour beauty and abundance.
God is already full of glory (honour, power, majesty, rarity) and there is nothing we can do to change it. He already receives perfect worship from all angels and heavenly beings. We can not change that and we can’t…

Being a child of God and being called a Christian qualifies a person to be a worshipper, whether you have a sweet voice or a horsey voice, whether you can dance or you have CRD (Caucasian Rhythm Disorder) in God’s books you qualify as a worshipper.
The name of a person reveals their character and the quality of worship reveals the character of a worshipper. Just like the names of God reveal his character and a worshipper is known his or her…

Worship is a lifestyle not mean to be a Sunday event, it is a daily experience which we are committed to for the rest of our existence, so if you don’t go to church does that mean that in that week, or if you relocate away from church then you will not worship.
Worship goes beyond geographical boundaries, atmospheres, locations, prayer, churches and any kind of meetings. We worship God everywhere and anywhere, with lifted voices, with silent adoration, lifted hands,…

The one true God, the Creator of all that is, has given to us all that we have ever known. Our lives, our very breath, our families, our gifts and talents, our earthly home, sunshine and rain, all of creation, the capacity to love and be loved, our minds and bodies, our eternal souls, His great love and mercy, salvation, and even His only Son... all these are given to us from the hand of God the Father, the maker of Heaven and Earth. What do we have that we can give to him? Can any gift from…

Picture this scenario: a small child has the exciting opportunity to play in the mud. He has all th
e tools that he needs to accomplish this task. He has his hands to shape and form the mud, his feet to make footprints and splash and squish, some pebbles, wildflowers, and sticks for decoration, and his imagination to pretend that the mud is a giant lake of chocolate pudding or that…

Worship Is First Of All Obedience
Worship is honouring and magnifying God, it’s not confined to singing and dancing but its worshipping him in everything we do night and day. It’s a lifestyle that is lived not for self but for God. It’s a daily experience, the bible says the fruit of my lips should praise God; my life should worship without words and notes.
Genesis 22:5 The principal of first mention in the bible carries a lot of weight and in this passage of…

Reverence comes from a primitive root which means to fear; causatively to frighten: affright, be (make) afraid, dreadful fear, tremble. The dictionary will tell us that fear is deep respect, if that’s the case then what does reverence mean. I believe that fear doesn’t bring us escape from God but bring us closer.
If you would read the Amplified Bible you will realize that they replaced the word fear with reverence. There is power when we come before God with our…

A name represents the character of the person, God’s name declares much about person but the Bible reveals God and his name. In today’s world names carry little weight as people carry nicknames, alias’s stage names and all but in the biblical time your name meant a lot of who you are and the destiny you carried, that’s why God had to change the names of some people so that he could work on them.
The International Bible Encyclopedia explains that A “name” is that by which a…

The Kingdom of Yahweh Established in Our Heart, Soul, and Mind
"Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 'Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?'
Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This…

Though worship is a command and we were created to worship, I believe that worship is a privilege to mankind as we tend to receive more in worship because man is more blessed by just worshipping God.
“Being blessed is a by product of worship not a motivation to worship”
“Worship is our giving to God not our getting from God”…

The Nearness of God
Sean Azzaro, my pastor of River City Community Church, upon delivering a message about the vision for 2010 at our church, challenged us to fast one day a week. The challenge was not the main point... in fact, it was more likely a side point, maybe even an after-thought. His message was to the point that perhaps we focus too much on the peripherals of faith, and forget that the most important aspect of Salvation is the Presence of God... Yes, we are saved from the punishment of Sin, and we…
