Many believers struggle with knowing what is appropriate as far as music used in worship. Unfortunately, many Pastors seldom preach about worship and may have done little study of the subject. Other Pastors or Evangelists may have very limited preferences for what they feel is appropriate and preach these preferences as gospel. God's people are often left confused or very opinionated about what is appropriate based upon their own preferences or upon what they have heard. In over 30 years…

The glory of the Lord is what we live for, to bring him glory. In old English they would say glory is to ascribe or give back the honour and splendor to him who deserves it. Glory in Hebrew and Greek speaks of splendor, light, rarity, honour beauty and abundance.
God is already full of glory (honour, power, majesty, rarity) and there is nothing we can do to change it. He already receives perfect worship from all angels and heavenly beings. We can not change that and we can’t…

The one true God, the Creator of all that is, has given to us all that we have ever known. Our lives, our very breath, our families, our gifts and talents, our earthly home, sunshine and rain, all of creation, the capacity to love and be loved, our minds and bodies, our eternal souls, His great love and mercy, salvation, and even His only Son... all these are given to us from the hand of God the Father, the maker of Heaven and Earth. What do we have that we can give to him? Can any gift from…

This incredible photo was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in 2006. Like a cosmic chandelier, the dazzling lights of the star cluster Pismis 24 hang over the dusty clouds of NGC 6357, a nebula about 8,000 light-years from Earth in the constellation…

How can we recognize authentic worship, and how can we make sure that we as individuals are authentic in worshipping our Almighty God? Is there a particular style or form of worship that is more authentic than any other? Is there something that can be measured or seen in authentic worship? What is the focus of authentic worship, and what should be our understanding of what the word ‘worship’ really means? How can our church experience the kind of dynamic worship that blows the doors off…

The message of the gospel is always relevant. God’s love and mercy alwaysmatters. The problem of perceived irrelevance has never been about the message itself. When it comes to our relevance in sharing spiritual truth, what we do relationally and the message that we project to those around us (through our lives, our words, our posture, our attitudes, our musical preparation and choices, and even the expressions on our faces) impacts their willingness to hear the message…

Picture this scenario: a small child has the exciting opportunity to play in the mud. He has all th
e tools that he needs to accomplish this task. He has his hands to shape and form the mud, his feet to make footprints and splash and squish, some pebbles, wildflowers, and sticks for decoration, and his imagination to pretend that the mud is a giant lake of chocolate pudding or that…

Praise God for the gift of music! Sometimes the emotions and the longings that we feel inside are inexpressible. Words often seem inadequate to describe these depths and heights of human emotion and of the human condition. Our relationships with those who we love as well as our relationship with the Lord cannot be reduced to mere verbal expression. It is in situations such as these that music can be employed to give expression beyond what words convey. What a blessing it is to be given…

Worship is the one activity of the church that will continue in Heaven. If we were forced to eliminate all but one church activity on earth, worship would be the most important to continue. Worship is the absolute daily goal for every Christian. Since, according to I Corinthians 10:31, we are to do everything to the glory of God, our lives should be lived in a constant attitude of worship. We will fall far short of this goal, but yet it becomes the passion of our hearts as we draw closer…

Bluetree "Kingdom"
Remember "God Of This City" that Chris Tomlin covered a few years ago? Well, the band that wrote it while playing in a brothel in Thailand - Bluetree - are now back with their second album, "Kingdom"
Full of songs written for worship at their home Exchange Church Belfast, where Aaron Boyd serves as associate pastor, the arrangements may have been tweaked for this release but the underlying truth and simplicity of the songs remains intact - God loves you, no matter…

Worship That Opens Up The Heavens
Today we talk about worship that opens up the heavens starting from the book of Judge Chapter 6, it is how God called Gideon made life his life peculiar. I always say that Worship is a response and that Worship is obedience, how many of us respond to God or his promptings. I pray that after reading through this article God will open your eyes and give you a life that responds and obey in Jesus Name.
Background to the story is…

Reverence comes from a primitive root which means to fear; causatively to frighten: affright, be (make) afraid, dreadful fear, tremble. The dictionary will tell us that fear is deep respect, if that’s the case then what does reverence mean. I believe that fear doesn’t bring us escape from God but bring us closer.
If you would read the Amplified Bible you will realize that they replaced the word fear with reverence. There is power when we come before God with our…

Worship is all about glorifying God, its starts from the heart and it’s expressed through a lot of ways our lives, singing, praying, dancing, a lifestyle and many other ways of expressing it to God. The idea of worship is that one prostrates himself before a superior being with a sense of respect, fear and awe.
A lot…

The Holy Spirit is part of the Triune being and as the bible says that he was sent to earth so that he may teach us all things and helps us the Greek word for that is “paraclete” which means parallel to, it works parallel with the spirit of a man. Jesus in the book of John

Worship in a basic meaning means to glorify God, give glory to God, to ascribing worth to God. With time we have assumed a revelation of worship passed from people’s experience and opinion and we have made it our own. This I say because the first time I joined a worship team people told me of their experiences in worship and not what the bible say about worship.
Worship isn’t kneeling, singing, dancing, painting, wailing, lying prostrate, falling facewards, crying and all…

It’s not the way of the world
2 Chronicles 13:11 we meet an angry King David blaming God that he was trying to bring glory to God by bringing the ark back into Jerusalem something that King Saul did not do. In the process of the Ark being brought, God broke out, smote and killed Uzzah because he took ahold of the Ark as it was stumbling and stopping it from falling.
Was it Uzzah’s fault that he got killed? surely with all your intelligence if you see…

A name represents the character of the person, God’s name declares much about person but the Bible reveals God and his name. In today’s world names carry little weight as people carry nicknames, alias’s stage names and all but in the biblical time your name meant a lot of who you are and the destiny you carried, that’s why God had to change the names of some people so that he could work on them.
The International Bible Encyclopedia explains that A “name” is that by which a…
