Happy New Year Worshippers
2014 has started and it’s going to be an interesting year but you know as most people are on or have just finished a fast and people are seeking the face of the Lord in this season and it’s an important thing to do but my prayer is may we carry the very same heart as the 2014 curtains start closing. It’s easy to shout, sing and declare what the year will be and it’s not that easy to live everyday of it.
A couple of days ago…Continue

Leading A Diverse Congregation Of People.
The Diversity we are talking today is not of racial colour, ethnicity nor of culture we are talking of diversity of the reasons why we come to church.
Not everyone comes to church for the Lord, Not all of us are so super-duper spiritual we are all at different stages in life and our walk with the Saviour. Some come to chill out, nothing to do at home, some come to see friends, some are forced, some are…Continue

"If you are a preacher of Grace, then preach a true, not a fictitious grace; if grace is true, you must bear a true and not a fictitious sin. God does not save people who are only fictitious sinners. Be a sinner and sin boldly, but believe and rejoice in Christ even more boldly. For he is victorious over sin, death, and the world. As long as we are here we have to sin. This life in not the dwelling place of righteousness but, as Peter says, we look for a new heavens and a new earth in…Continue

Being a worship leader I consider it as an amazing responsibility but more as a blessing because you are being entrusted to carry people into his presence and glory. As we carry out this mandate from God one thing becomes eminent is that there are a lot things to consider before, during and after a worship service.
One of those things to really consider is the team…

13 “No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money."
14 The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all these things, and they ridiculed him.
15 And he said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

16 Rejoice always,
17 pray without ceasing,
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
These three verses are to be read as one unified statement.
Nowhere is worship made manifest more than in prayer. Prayer according to His will, i.e. Word (1 John 5:14-15) is as much, if not more so, an expression of our worship/obedience, as singing a song, or lifting hands.
The will of God is that we offer joyful,…

ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS David Stevens
When you first enter the army, one of the first things that you learn is how to march. Everywhere you go on a military base, you see soldiers marching. It looks so easy and orderly that you don’t think much about it at first. Everyone is moving perfectly synchronized. No one individual stands out. It’s almost as if all the soldiers are bonded together into one fine tuned machine working as one.

20 Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped.
21 And he said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD."
22 In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrong.
9 Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die."
10 But he said to her, "You speak as one of the…

Hebrews 7:19 (for the law made nothing perfect); but on the other hand, a better hope is introduced, through which we draw near to God.
The apostle Paul was accused of being antinomian (Romans 3:8) by those described in Galatians 6:12-13.
So how does the Law apply in God’s plan of salvation in and through Christ alone?
First and foremost, salvation is given solely to those whom God has chosen (election) in Christ before creation.
3 Blessed be the God…

15 The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.
16 But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.
Paul is always straightforward in his presentation. He never stepped over the line in terms of the pious blether that has…

19 And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me."
20 And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.
38 Then he said to them, "My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me."
