|The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:15, 19 (NKJV)|
I know about chaos. Many of you probably do, too. And if you have not yet experienced any level of chaos in your life, keep living - you will. An older, very wise former pastor of mine once said,…Continue

Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.. . Let me teach you. . ." Matthew 11:28-29 (NLT)
When was the last time you said that? There are many different contexts we can use those…Continue

When I was growing up in Decatur, Illinois the "enemy" in our neighborhood was a girl, and she was always up for a good fight. In later years I found out why that was so. Her opponents used whatever weapon available, whether fists, sticks, or rocks. Those in military service use various weapons to engage an enemy that they've been trained to know. That's all in the human realm.…Continue

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 (NASB)

Did you ever think speaking God's praises will keep us out of trouble? What I mean is "mouth trouble." When we speak the praises of God on a regular basis, that means we can't speak defeat; we can't speak failure or fear. When we speak the praises of God on a…Continue

Worship in the bible started as an attitude of sacrifice and obedience and with time it became an integral part in Israel with the tabernacle and sacrifices evolving into worship and music. Now we are having so many worship wars in the church over the small little things and we haven’t searched the scriptures to know what the word says, all we know has been passed down from the generation before us.
One of the things we have been told is that worship is a matter of the heart.…Continue

I often get asked about the stories behind the songs I write. Some of the songs are about my personal experience or based on the experience of others. I’m a real “people watcher” and I like to observe people about their everyday lives and that’s why you’ll see me in cafes a lot! This particular blog is a story that concerns my own experiences.
Last year was a rough year for my husband and I; he was made redundant for the fourth time in five years and I had a miscarriage at the same…Continue

6 Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.
7 Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready;

Dear Mom & Dad,
This is the first chance I had to write to you. I'm sorry if I made you worry. I want you to know that all is well and I arrived safe and sound at Camp Heaven. Everything around me is more beautiful than I could ever have imagined. The trip was short. I got here just after I closed my eyes and fell asleep. It was as if no time had past at all. I miss you so very much. I was told to tell you it wasn't goodbye…Continue

Many believers struggle with knowing what is appropriate as far as music used in worship. Unfortunately, many Pastors seldom preach about worship and may have done little study of the subject. Other Pastors or Evangelists may have very limited preferences for what they feel is appropriate and preach these preferences as gospel. God's people are often left confused or very opinionated about what is appropriate based upon their own preferences or upon what they have heard. In over 30 years…Continue
