Day One: The Unbreakable Link Between Worship & Prayer
“And when He had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them Harps and golden Bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying:‘You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals for You were slain And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have… Continue

Dear Frenz in Lord Jesus
If the Lord has you on hold... Hold on!
If the Lord has said 'NO' to you... Thank Him!
If the Lord is molding your heart and mind.... Go with His change!
If the Lord opens doors that you have asking Him to open... Praise Him!
Be blessed wherever you are in your life today! God has His hands on the situation!

I'm sitting here tonight amazed at the manifold grace of God. It's overwhelming for me grasp all that God has done in one year. One of the strongest words I received in the past year was during the deepest hurt of my life. The word came at 1:30 in the morning (because I couldn't sleep) on Youtube. (who said God can't use Youtube:^) Here is the word in a nutshell...
When it rains on the mountain, where does the water go? answer=the valley. Everyone loves the mountaintop experiences when the… Continue

God speaks; His Word is the music
in every believer's ear.
His ways and His thoughts are the melody,
His heart is the rhythm we feel.
But the music is only sound in the air
'til we choose to respond and obey.
When we're moved by his music
to enter the Dance,
Love is the instrument God plays.
Faith is the Dance
Conviction and action, moving as one
Faith is the Dance
Give glory and honour and praise to the Son
Faith... Faith… Continue

*For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom. 8:38-39*
When I noticed an elderly couple walking with slow and halting steps across the church parking lot, I thought about what an effort they must have made in order to attend the Wednesday night service.… Continue

Choice! We each have opportunities to choose to do what is right or to do what is wrong. But there is a third choice - to do nothing! Back in the 1700's, Edmund Burke coined a phrase that has been used many times since: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
Wow! What a profound statement! But what does it look like in action? I think it means that we are willing to be out of step with the majority in order to do what we know is… Continue

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keeps the law, happy is he. (Prov. 29:18)
In addition to being a Worship Leader, I am an elder serving on the Session of our church. (For those that don't speak Presbyterian, Session = board of elders.) In addition to conducting the "business" of the church (which is not necessarily the same thing, but should always be in support of, "being about my Father's business,") we are currently working through the book… Continue

After taking a break from the worship band at my church, I am grateful for drinking from the "Springs of Renewal"! I played during Sunday service yesterday and it was amazing! The Holy Spirit was definitely with the whole church.
As I look forward to more fellowship opportunities with the band, more rehearsals for the upcoming holiday season, I keep in mind that God has placed me in my church as part of the many servants that reach out to the hearts of many through the gifts our Lord… Continue

Fishing in South Louisiana is always good. At least for me it is. Saturday 11/22 my wife and I went fishing with her dad. The limit on red fish is 5 per person so we were allowed 15. Well, I caught 12 my wife caught 2 and father in law caught 1. Then we caught another 40 or more but we had to release them. So needless to… Continue

Exodus 20:3 “You shall have no other gods before me”.
If you think about the next 24 hours, what are you looking forward to most?
I think that this question draws out what truly brings us happiness, and this will determine the quality of our happiness (and therefore whether joy exists in our hearts).
If the most exciting hope of our day is not the presence of God, then we have idols, and as you know, idols can take the shape of anything, or… Continue

I just uploaded an acoustic recording of a new Christmas song.
It's simple, but has an enjoyable melody. My wife Helen plays the flute on the recording and worship leader Stephanie Lawrence is the vocalist.
Check it out and see what you think.
It is track # 1 in the player on our WTR profile page.

An atheist professor was teaching a college class and he told the class that he was going to prove that there was not a God.
He said, "God if you are real, then I dare you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you 15 minutes!"
Ten minutes went by He kept taunting God, saying, "Here I am God, I'm still waiting" He got down to the last couple of minutes and a BIG 240 pound football player happened to walk by the door and heard what the professor said. The football player… Continue

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people.
-- 1 Timothy 2:1
You have an opportunity for powerful, life-changing ministry without ever leaving your home. It’s through the power of prayer.
Prayer is a powerful tool for change in the lives of others. The Spirit of God wants to touch and reach others through your prayers. So, whom should you pray for?
In 1 Timothy chapter 2, Paul tells us to pray… Continue
