Seeking God's Face On My Face

And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying,"Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever.  Amen."  (Revelation 7:11-12, NASB)

One of the things that true worship demands is humble submission.   There is just no…

The Command in Service: Bless the Lord!

Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, You who serve Him, doing His will.  Bless the Lord, all you works of His, In all places of His dominion; Bless the Lord, O my soul!   (Psalm 103:21-22) (NASB)

I have often said there are really only two places we can safely praise God:  anywhere and everywhere.  That pretty much covers it.  David tells us to bless the Lord at all times and to always keep a praise…

Power of Lifting Hands in Worship

Good Day Worshippers

Some people have attacked me saying we are not supposed to dance, clap lift our hands and bowing is meant for prayer not worship and also other expressions that people use when they worship. I have written this article and I pray that they might understand the power of the lifting hands and its effect.

“I will, therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting” 1Timothy 2:8 Our hands reading from…

Crying In, not Out, to God

1 John 4:1-6

"... because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world ... "

------------------------------------------------------------------

I no longer need to look outside of myself for help.

My help lives inside of me.

So I cry in, not out, to God to complete the ministry of reconciliation He gave me in… Continue

New praise Song - "Come and Praise"

Been working on this song for about a year and finally got round to uploading it. I Had great fun in the production and tried a number of new technques and ideas that I have never tried before.

It is an upbeat praise song to encourage the congregation to offer their praise to God, no matter what their current circumstances and to lay it all at his feet, because he alone is worthy of all glory and honour.

Comments are welcome.

Worship and Spiritual Warfare Part 4

The bible is so full of a lot of warfare which was summoned by at the hand of worship. Worship and warfare are synonymous and for me, one thing that has stood out as I have been going through this series is that when we worship God, He responds. We have said that worship is our response to God, now we have learnt that God also responds to us when we worship him.

One thing I have learnt also is that when we worship in earnestness and focus alone on God lifting Him, telling him…

Jesus's Twitter Account

Mark 2:16-17 (NIV)

"When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?'

On hearing this, Jesus said to them, 'It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.' "…

Worship and Spiritual Warfare Part 3

Part 3 of the series of Worship and Spiritual warfare, what a journey and in this article we continue to look into it. Spiritual battle, warfare or fighting is engaged into when we worship, we give and when we pray and when we worship God.

Worship is one of the things that get God’s attention the moment we start to offer it. Giving doesn’t change God, it changes us, praying and fasting does the same they don’t change God but worship get God’s attention. The devil also knows this… Continue

The Mark of An Effective Leader

Music ministers are leaders in the truest form that have the tendancy to command attention to get the job done.  Consequently, we sometimes become "self-centered" by skewed motivation.  Let me offer the extraordinary wisdom of Lao Tzo, of non-Christian persuasion, that will help keep us reminded of our true purpose - to serve:

"A leader is best when people barely know he exists, not so good when people obey and acclaim him,…

The Mind of Christ or the Mind of a Pharisee? Which Do You Have?

Matthew 9:9-13

"As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at his tax collector’s booth. 'Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Matthew got up and followed him.

Later, Matthew invited Jesus and his disciples to his home as dinner guests, along with many tax collectors and other disreputable sinners. 11 But when the Pharisees saw this, they… Continue
