Compromise isn't part of Christianity and never will be. If you are a Christian you have to stand up for what you believe in, the man you believe in, Jesus. Or it just won't work. You can't compromise with Satan, the devil. That is courting disaster! Jesus didn't compromise when He went up the mountain on His 40 Day Fast. And when the Tempter came to Him, he said, "if thou be the Son Of God, command that these stones be made bread." But He answered and said, "It is written, man shall not live… Continue
I'd been seeking out a long lost friend from high school for some time now. I'd looked for him online, in local phone books where he used to live, and found nothing. The last time I saw him, it didn't go so well. We didn't have a fight or anything like that, it just didn't go so well. I don't remember ever seeing him after that, but we did talk and write letters, and I kept those because I really did treasure our friendship.
Well, last night, I was able to contact the family of his… Continue
Today My 11 year old daughter Taylor and I are leaving on a trip to Neon Kentucky. We aren't sure what to expect to see as we help repair, clean, paint some houses in the area.
My hope is that we can bring glory to God in what our team does while there and that his light will shine through us.
I also pray that this will be an experience that will draw me even closer to Christ, and that I can see things back home with clearer and thankful eyes.
Please hold my daughter and myself in… Continue

STATEMENT FROM JUDY FERGUSON
Sunday morning, May 11, at approximately 2:19 a.m., the bus Dottie Rambo was traveling in was involved in an accident on I-44 near Mount Vernon, Missouri. The cause of the accident is under investigation. Dottie was travelling to meet Lulu Roman and Naomi Sego at a Golden Girls of Gospel concert in North Richland Hills, Tex., at the Fountain of Life church. On board with Dottie were her manager Larry Ferguson, his wife Judy and their two sons, Pierce and… Continue
I sent this out to all members but it seems that as it had the word 'Free' and other similar words it may have been blocked in people's spam filters. If you didn't receive the message here it is again.

It continues to be a reminder that God knows our needs before we do!! Isaiah 65:24
This beautiful incident was told by a doctor who worked in Central Africa .
One night I had worked hard to help a mother in the labor ward; but in spite of all we could do, she died, leaving us with a tiny, premature baby and a crying two-year-old daughter. We would have difficulty keeping the baby alive; as we had no incubator (we had no electricity to run an incubator). We also had no… Continue
When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were as those who dreamed
And our mouths were filled with laughter and our tongues with singing.
Then they said amoung the nations: The Lord has done great things for them!"
I hope that we might lighten one another's burdens, with good news of encouraging miracles experienced.
Like the other day when I lost my keys!
We were on the beach at Hout Bay, Cape Town, South Africa. Here… Continue
Therefore, brothers since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having out hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for… Continue

The weather last few days here in Central Illinois have been much like the economic and political climate last several months throughout the world. Sunday in particular was one of the more interesting weather days here in several years. All night it had been raining with occasional thunderstorms, and Sunday morning was much the same. Even the visiting Pastor that spoke at our church used a close lightning strike and the imminent thunderous "boom" as an opportunity to make a point from the… Continue
So in reality I am much more a bass player than a guitarist. I started playing guitar when I was 12 and bass a year after that. Through middle school and high school I played bass in our Jazz bands (not to mention numerous teenage garage bands) :). My senior year of high school I started a band with my girlfriend (now my lovely wife) and some of our friends. From the get go we decided that our ministry was going to be leading God's people in worship. God blessed us to be able to play all over… Continue
I have to admit it, I like being alone. I like not having to interact with other humans. Since being laid off from my job three months ago, I’ve spent much, I daresay, most of my time alone. Some of the interactions I have had during this time have only worked to reinforce my feelings. I really do like being alone. Being alone means that I can avoid the hurt, rejection, altercations and confrontations that seem to be part and parcel of human interaction. And I have to tell you, I’m not good at… Continue
don't wait for time
don't wait for love
don't wait for money
don't wait for the path
don't wait for the oppurtunity
don't go for less
-get the best
don't avoid failure
don't dwell on mistakes
- learn from them
don't back down
don't close your eyes
-open your mind
don't run from life

When we worship God, an obedient heart is what He is looking for. When God speaks to us as we enter into His presence, do we listen and obey His promptings, or do we ignore Him or pretend He hasn’t spoken to us? He could be asking us to do something or revealing to us a particular thing in our lives that needs to be dealt with. How we respond to His voice is all-important. As servants of Christ, when we are asked by God to do something, we must not question the reason why.
