How do you read distress in a congregation

I have been in colege ministry, and now that am out of the school setting and is now a worship leader in a bigger church and a bigger town In college, it was kinda easy to predict what songs would be appropriate for the lot because I was a student too, and for the four years, I was going trough every other thing the christian union was going trough. But now, in this main church, I get to the pulpit and I feel resistance. sometimes they just do not respond to the songs... I was wondering,…See More

The Gentleman Behind My Music

Posted on April 28, 2010 at 7:23am 3 Comments

I really know this for sure: That Verah Vashti is just an ordinary woman. I am just pretty, nothing you can turn your head to look at. And I am comfortable this way. I do not have many vibratoes in my voice. Infact I do not understand why I am the worship leader of a church of more than 1500 congregants at my age. I see the people I work with and I marvel at their knowledge in music and the tact they have a bout worship and praising God through music. Whenevr I go to the pulpit, the…

Hello Verah, thanks for adding me as friend. Iam blessed with the ministy your doing in Naivasha and i've began praying for you cause your ministry is a threat in the other kingdom of darkness. Iam also praying that more and more you will see the manifest presence of God in your meetings. God bless you.

Glad you liked the song. It's a fun one to do!
Yes, we lived and worked up north in Lokichogio with the Turkana tribe - a very hot and dry place as you know. We came down to the lodge at Naivasha for a holiday and saw thousands of flamingos and other birds - it was great! Would love to come back one day.

Thanks for the friend request, Verah - glad to accept. I don't remember if I mentioned this already, but my wife and I spent a couple of years in Kenya many years ago, and I especially remember seeing some great wildlife around Lake Naivasha. A Cape Buffalo tried to charge my land rover!
God bless.
