About Scott Wesley (who wrote this?)
Scott Wesley Brown is a veteran Christian artist who's ministry began in the early 70's working along side of artists such as Keith Green, Larry Norman, Love Song and 2nd Chapter Of Acts.
In the 80's Scott's ministry turned more towards World Missions and bringing worship to the nations. His ministry brought hundreds of musical instruments to Christian musicians in third world and restricted access countries from Africa to eastern Europe. Scott helped organize the first Christian music festival behind the "Iron Curtain" and was the first artist to tour Cuba.
Scott has recorded 24 albums for a mixture of labels including Integrity, Sparrow and Word. Currently Scott has partnered with Billy Smiley of Whiteheart in producing a series of Worship Hymn CDs..bringing the ancient into the modern.
Through the years Scott has served as a worship pastor in several churches.
He currently serves at Valley Presbyterian in Paradise Valley Arizona and continues his concert tours and conference schedule.

Tying Our Shoes For Worship

Ask any serious fan of basketball in America who the greatest coach of all is, and you will more than likely hear the name John Wooden. He is the first person ever inducted into the basketball Hall Of Fame both as a player and as a coach. As a coach he led the UCLA Bruins to victory in 10 NCAA National Championships in a twelve-year span. This record remains unmatched by any other basketball coach. The Bruins won 664 games in 27 seasons under Wooden’s leadership.

But each year as the new season… Continue

Where Worship Begins

Where Worship Begins by Scott Wesley Brown

I really didn’t want to be there at the door. There were so many things I had to do to get ready for worship that Sunday morning. Greeting people at the front entrance was not my idea of getting prepared for the opening set of worship songs. All I could think of was, did everyone have the song sheets in the right order? Did the singers have enough rehearsal time to get those harmonies down tight? Was that monitor going to keep buzzing or did the… Continue

A prayer for those in ministry

G.D. Watson a Wesleyan Methodist minister, evangelist and missionary (1845-1924) wrote these rich words that speak to me so often when I loose sight of God's jealous love for me. I pray this encourages you as you seek to serve Him.

OTHERS MAY, YOU CANNOT

"If God has called you to be really like Jesus, He will draw you to a life of crucifixion and humility, and put upon you such demands of obedience, that you will not be able to follow other people, or measure yourself by other Christians, and… Continue

In God's Shadow

IN GOD’S SHADOW by Scott Wesley Brown

I want to tell you about one of my heroes from the Bible. Not your typical sort of hero like David or Paul, but one whose name is rarely mentioned, let alone heard have. His name was Bezalel and he was an artist.
He wasn’t a singer or instrumentalist, but an artist whose resume' should be the benchmark of anyone who desires to serve the Lord through their gifts, musical or otherwise.

As I look at my journey of over 30 years in Christian music ministry begi… Continue

Howzit, Scott! Just a short note to tell you my wife came home from work yesterday and told me "My Treasure" came up on the car mp3 player and your voice and the song brought tears to her eyes! She said, who sings that? And I said, oh, just some friend of mine..." :) Have a blessed weekend! It's sunny and bright here in Oregon today! (A special event for me!)

Aloha Scott, your new music is terrific, still so full of heart and soul. I grew up with "My Treasure" and "Keep The Sun In Your Eyes" among my favorites. I remember being blown away by your voice and how your music truly touched the spirit. My brother used to attend Scottsdale Bible Church and said you were the worship leader there for a while. I thought that was so cool! When he came to visit me I pulled out my old LP and showed it to him!

Dear Scott,

Awesome- I've loved you and the sweet ministry that God poured into me through your music all these years. Your music- specifically Stronger and In Jesus Name, God used to keep me from completely losing everything at one point! Those two songs are the only ones I can play on piano because they absolutely rescued me! Your music and Keith Green's NEVER lose their anointing, power and beauty. Love you so much and I'm not one to gush like this- seriously! God Bless You!

Whatever happened to that song "Yeshua Ha Mashia" (spelling?) from the late 70's or early 80's? That song was a real blessing to me when I was a teenager.

Hi Scott...it's Annie Meadows...boy, it took me 10 minutes just to figure out how to get this far. Ha! I am just not up to it when it comes to computers...you know me, I stay in the 1800's. I hope I did this correctly and you receive this email....I have been out touring all Spring and Summer and just do not have the time to keep up with much of this....anyhow, I wanted to "comment" on the article about Worship Leaders being Idols, but again, I could not figure out how.....any help? God bless you, Annie Meadows

Hello, I know you probably get these all the times, are busy, etc. My father is Pedro Mesa and had traveled around with you when you toured Cuba, I listened to your songs as a little girl especially please don't send me to Africa, we always joked about that with my dad and we sang it all the time when he found out the first time He would go there. Thank you and blessings for your God work.
