"Hey Greg. Unfortunately there are a lot of songs where the lyrics do not marry the music. So I go by the spirit of the song and place it in the appropriate sequence of the set. Usually that means the tempo and feel of the song and NOT the lyrics. I…"

"I've recently come to a church with just a morning service, no evening, and an hour limit for the whole contemporary service (!).  You have to repeat new songs a lot so they will be learned (not just parroted from the visi-screen); but…"

"Good, good words, Carri!  The traditional "formula" for starting a service (two words: upbeat, upbeat) works for the vast majority of services.  It's a curiosity to me, because for 1,800 years the church started with…"
