"Go to pizzecciguitars.com For between 550 and 700 bucks, depending on wood choice, pre-amp etc. you can get a custom hand made all solid wood guitar that sounds great. This guy is a Methodist pastor in Va. that does this as a "hobby". I…"

Profile Information

Home Church:
Allegheny Valley Church Of God
Musical Gift(s):
Guitar, Bass, Keyboards when we're really desparate, and singing (sort of)
About Me:
I pastor the Allegheny Valley Church of God in New Kensington, Pa. I was saved at age 29 and entered the ministry about 5 years after that. Never thought I'd be a Christian, let alone a preacher and worship leader. Never looked back.

We started our church back in 1991 in a firehall with just me and a guitar for music. That was it for about 6 years until after much prayer and moving into an acutal church building God began to send in singers, musicians and song writers. We now have between one and three guitar players, bass, drums, conga, bass clarinet and many singers.

For those who like fingerstyle guitar I have a few lessons on wholenote.com. Just click the lessons tab and find the "sort by member" link. Click on my name and you're there. You can play some of the old hymns, they're not that hard.
Favourite Music:
Jars of Clay, Rita Springer, Twila Paris, Terry Talbot, Old School Anything, anything that lifts up the name of Jesus. I love the guitar playing of the Rev. Gary Davis, a true master on his instrument. (Don't know exactly how reverent Bro. Davis was, but that's another matter.) He has some great videos on you tube.
Favourite Books / Authors
Really now!!! The B-I-B-L-E, that's the book for me. Besides that, anything by Ironside, J. Vernon MaGee, old books on eschatology that saw the restoration of Israel before 1948, stuff by Dave Hunt, "Bait Of Satan" by John Bevere, oh, there's a bunch more.
Favourite Bible Verses / Passages:
Whatever I need at any given moment. Right now it's "Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you." I often forget that first part!

Of course, we have lot of problems over here but our God is faithful to us. Amidst of all the difficulties and persecution Church is growing. Our state where I serve the Lord is ruled by the hindu fanatics. Do remember us. Our prayers are also with you.
