Hi Randy,
Thanks so much for remembering. For what it is, I am no longer the worship leader nor am I leading children in worship at this time, although I do miss it terribly. God has me in a different direction, pursuing my Master's, so that's where my focus is.
Bless you!

Hi Randy,
What a sweet song, Emmanuel is Here! If it had been posted sooner, we may have had our children's ministry do it for this year! I'll keep it on the list for next year!

Hey... Holland Davis here. I'd like to tell you about worshipsong.com. It's a website that is song focused...

The original premise was to make a site where worship leaders could listen to a song, download a chord chart and teach it in their church. I had a song - I Will Stand - jump 500 points on CCLI just through this site alone.

We've since expanded it to featured CD's, Artists, Songs...

We've also added the ability to sell mp3's, rhythm charts, orchestrations, backing trax, whatever you can think of...

You can upload any video or audio format and it will play it...

We've also made it user friendly for non-musical folks by adding a playlist feature where you can make a playlist of your favorite songs and play it like a radio station. You can also email the playlist to other people. I use it for my worship team to send out the setlist and charts for songs.

Future items are a pay per view feature for educational videos, a more expanded social networking feature, blogging, etc. Right now it's really song focused.

If you write and record worship songs... I'd love it if you would upload your songs to the site.

I'd love your thoughts on the site as well...

Blessings...

"40"

This is just a jumbled mass of thoughts from my brain. I am by no means a profound writer so my apologies in advance

When my 4th decade on earth was approaching I found myself remembering "the good? old days".

For me in my late teens, U2 was it. They had the sound and passion in their music that caught my attention. I remember hearing "Bad" for the first time and wanting to hear it again and again. The haunting melody and Bono's voice, "if you twist and turn away" was… Continue

Easter Sunday Dancing

I was blown away during worship this morning. People were asked to dance in celebration of the Risen Lord. Small children went forward as well as some older ones. While the song went on,(My Redeemer Lives) there were people dancing and celebrating, but then something caught my eye.

A gentleman who had just suffered a heart attack on Thurs Apr 9th. and had surgery as well was up strutting around clapping his hands in praise. I was amazed. God is awesome. Speaking to him later he told me he… Continue

Kentucky Bound

Posted on March 13, 2009 at 4:03pm 0 Comments

Today My 11 year old daughter Taylor and I are leaving on a trip to Neon Kentucky. We aren't sure what to expect to see as we help repair, clean, paint some houses in the area.

My hope is that we can bring glory to God in what our team does while there and that his light will shine through us.

I also pray that this will be an experience that will draw me even closer to Christ, and that I can see things back home with clearer and thankful eyes.

Please hold my daughter and myself in… Continue
