Good to hear from you. Yep, there are still a few of the old UK faces who are here reguarly and some that pop up now and again. I wasn't active on the site for a couple of years, I guess I thought people were sick of…"
"Hi Lorraine, I haven't been on this site for ages. I thought it was a dead duck with regards to UK WK's.
Glad to see there are still a few of the old faces around that we can share our thoughts and concerns with.
God Bless ...…"
I know he's not rock and roll but check out Danny Cope (Album: Colour me in).
Great lyrics to great songs and with a great voice, I understand Danny, once a local Romford lad, played Bass guitar with Dave Bilborough and now lectures in…"
"Phil, I am with you on your post; being up front you can become the focus of attention. I am so grateful that our church music group play on the same level as the congregation, that is, not raised up on a platform, therefore we are more part of the…"
"Hi, you were very prompt in adding me as a friend, you must have too much spare time!
Only joking, it's a day off work for me and I also was checking out emails and other computer related stuff as well."
"Hi Paul - thanks for adding me as a friend. Like you I am also a middle aged guitarist who still feels 22 (ish)! Trouble is, I think I'm becoming more radical as I get older :-)
I like your choices of favourite music too.
God bless -…"
"WL or whatever I am, I'm getting ready with all the last minute WL admin before I go to this mornings service!
Perhaps the new term for WL should be "He or She who has tenacity and staying power"!
God Bless ... Paul"
"Hi Di Hi,
I don't like the term Worship Leader, in the context of the church music group.
To me, it has connotations of grandeur and authority, a sort of status term that I fight to shy away from.
I feel this way because of the American CCM…"
"I love the lyrics of this song, I first saw Jesus Culture sing it on You Tube, and what passion they deliver it with.
Don't you agree that there are songs that just touch people and reduce them to tears for no known reason , and I think "O…"
"TBH many of the old hymns were just junk with a patina of respectability that came from age and ignorance. Just like so much recent stuff is junk, but without the patina. I grew up in a baptist church, and once I actually became a Christian I…"
"I guess I'm probably getting more grumpy and critical as I get older.....
Actually, I do like quite a lot of the music that has come out over the last 10-15 years. Despite my complaints (elsewhere) about these songs with enormous ranges to…"

HI Paul, Yes that spot is just over an hour from my house. In these parts it is a fairly famous hiking and recreation spot called the Columbia River Gorge. That hike climbed nearly 5000' in about 5.5 miles. It was one of the most challenging hikes I've ever done, but the view was worth it.
