"Hello Cliff, I just recently was in the same boat--except i never played guitar.  Tried it last summer and didn't get anywhere, but our last worship leader stepped down around Christmas and we needed a guitar player.  Learn this as a…"

"What a novel approach!!  I'm ashamed to admit that I hadn't even thought of that.  Why do I 'compartmentalize' my prayer life--as in "these things are prayerworthy and these aren't?? "

Profile Information

Home Church:
Pinelands Community Church
Musical Gift(s):
saxophone, djembe and other assorted percussion and noisemakers--passable on the keyboard
Favourite Music:
I'm particular to Vineyard Worship more than any other worship music, particularly Jeremy Riddle and Ryan Delmore. Favorite Christian bands are Violet Burning, Vigilantes of Love/Bill Malonee, the 77's/Michael Roe, and Third Day. Before my life change I was a Deadhead and also liked The Allman Brothers, Little Feat, Traffic and bands like that. I still enjoy listening to some of the old stuff, but it just doesn't move like it once did. (Amen to that!)
Favourite Bible Verses / Passages:
I love 1Cor 12 and the message it has for the church. Just this past year or two I got into what John and Peter wrote with more gusto than I ever have. In the Old Testament I'm particularly partial to and never tire of reading Esther, Jonah, and Habakkuk. For some reason they speak to me.

Hi, Michael!

Thanks for commenting on my blog post!

"Of course that is correct, but if you do a 16 bar guitar solo, followed by a 16 bar sax solo, a 16 bar keyboard solo and 16 bars of 'all in' it'll work out much better!! ;-} "

I should have expected that you'd mention the saxophone in there! :)
