Not to point fingers or pick on people, but I find that most people who discourage the use of capos are generally exceptional players and don't get that people like me simply HATE barr chords. Ugh yuck. Don't like 'em, never will. And I would rather…

Could you imagine a bunch of pastors in a discussion about whether or not they use their own sermons on Sunday morning? The biggest differences are (1) the sermon/pastor is driving the overall theme, which we are adding to/supporting (2) the pastor…

Pretend there is an idiot reading this conversation (okay, you don't actually have to pretend. Here I am!) and they are clueless. I can make some inferences based on the conversation, but what is IHOP. Unless your talking about pancakes, I have no i…

To determine whether or not you are succesful as a worship leader requires first an understanding of what the goals of you rministry are. Obviously, worship itself is a priority. But depending on your church, your pastor and your ministry there will…

This is a more important topic than one might realize. My wimsical post earlier aside (I thought it was rather clever, but no one said anything! so sad...) the bottom line is, as has been said or hinted at in many posts, that we need to lead worship…

Great songs. I notice in your pic your a guitar player. For me, being a guitarist versus a pianist biases me a lot as to what hymns we like and use. I was wondering is this is true for you also? there are some songs I love, but have yo lean almost e…

Nathan, I will share one bit of advice about "Great is thy faithfulness". There is near the end a disonant G# based chord that follows a Gbased similar chord. If you and your team got the chops to make it work, more power to ya'. But if you feel tha…

It seems to me that the accusation is not mathematical (quantity), it's a matter of substance (quality). The understood accusation - or as time has passed since it was first made far less understood - that the 7 words were barely were saying once. F…

(chorus) No it's not. no it's not. No it's not. No it's not, O Lord. No it's not. no it's not. No it's not. No it's not. Jesus, no it's not. No it's not. no it's not. No it's not. No it's not. No it's not. No it's not. No it's not. (repeat) (bridge…

Good Friday song - "Servant King"

I just added a song (hopefully sucesfully - it's linked to SoundClick) that we did as a special a few weeks ago, and my Pastor has asked me to have the team do it again for our Good Friday service as well. I would welcome and appreciate feedback on the song if anyone would care to listen and comment. The recording methods at my church right now are tad crude, so I'll apologize now for the technical/balance issues. nonetheless - please let me know what you think.… Continue

Lee....

Not at all!.....your reply made a whole lot of sense, and suggested several actionable items that I had not considered......I find myself at times in awe of those who have walked with God for a long time.....and sad because it took me so long to realize and accept the Truth.....however, I am confident that God will use all those wrong life experiences for HIs benefit....I think He has a wicked sense of humor at times! :-)

Blessings

Thanks for the friend invite. I use an old school vhs camera....lol...believe it or not...it work great! The sound is better than the pc mic and I think the video quality is so much better and without any delays. I then just convert it to cd and then upload to youtube. Hope that helps. I will be posting more videos in the next month. Always writing ya know!

Be Blessed

Thank you so much Lee.....my apprehensions are solely brought about by my inexperience as a christian......my faith in our God is unshakable.....but I still, at times, allow my secular experiences to cast a shadow on my new world.....not good, I know....that is why I have asked key peers to guide me and teach me.....and ask God daily for His patience and wisdom.....

Blessings
Chris
