"Back to Job. To paraphrase - "Even if He kills me, I'll still trust in God". Even if He "takes away" my life, I'll trust Him.
For me, if He takes away (or allows to be taken from me) my health, my family, my…"

2. When the same Abba Anthony thought about the depth of the judgments of God, he asked, “Lord, how is it that some die when they are young, while others drag on to extreme old age? Why are there those…"
"If it isn't God at the helm of our lives then who is giving and taking away? I personally wouldn't worry about what this guy thinks. As long as your pastor is okay with the Theology of the song then by all means sing it . If your pastor…"
"Ditto what everyone else said, don't waste time on this. Interestingly, if you biblegateway search the word 'Scripture', it appears 54 times. Only one of those times is in the OT - Daniel 9:2. So there's 53 references in the NT…"
There are loads of examples of Jesus taking things away from people in the NT...he took away so many sicknesses and lots of evil spirits from people :-)

"True, not worth having strife over it. As a matter of fact, I LOVE this song. When I introduced it to the worship team, which consists of both pastors, I had to change the words to "He gives and makes a way" in order to sing it.
Snare tuning is good, but I tried putting a piece of foam rubber under the snare stand. Make sure it is fairly stiff, and big enough so that the snare does not fall over. Vibration to the stage goes up to the snare even if it is tuned properly, I know I had the same problem. Setting a piece of foam rubber or something similar will stop the vibration before it gets to the snare. Let me know if this works for you. Joe.

The reason for my interest is I played oboe in concert band. Switched from the snooty clarinet section and found a better fit behind 2 reeds instead of 1. Oh, and I played a mean bari sax in pep band. Woo hoo! Every worship team needs a bari sax player. lol
