Trusting God during the journey, when you cannot see the destination

I have been driving a car for over a year and I'm not really a fan of it. It's a necessity I'm told, but I'd rather walk to places. I don't like speed, hostile drivers and gears, so driving is already minus three points in my book. Plus I'm hopeless with directions.Anyway, a teaching job came up at a school about 40 mins away from my house. I was invitied to look around, so I got my google map directions and off I set. There were 6 directions on the map, it wasn't a complicated route, but I'd…See More

Last Tuesday, my husband's grandma passed away after suffering a heart attack and a stroke on 23rd December. Our Christmas and New Year celebrations were very subdued. Last Thursday,my Mum passed away very suddenly and I spent her final hours watching her literally fighting for breath. I am half way through an intensive teaching course and am absolutely overwhelmed with it all. Teaching is God's plan for my life - He revealed it to me and has fetched me through and over many obstacles to get…

At times...

At times, my heart is full of praise; sometimes it's close to breaking.

At times, my mouth shouts words of joy; sometimes it says words that wound.

At times, my spirit feels light and refreshed; sometimes it's heavy and burdened.

At times, my mind races with memories of God's goodness; sometimes it's clouded with doubts.

At times, my feelings are positive; sometimes they rob me of my joy.

At times, my hope is overflowing; sometimes I reach the bottom of the…

The power of encouragement

Posted on August 14, 2009 at 12:43pm 2 Comments

This site really blesses me. I wasn't fetched up with a faith. I was baptised in my twenties in response to realising something was missing from my life ~ Jesus was. I have a few close friends from church and some friends who don't attend church, who I share my beliefs with when the opportunity arises. I have been so encouraged by sharing things on this site and getting practical advice and offers of friendship. Things like this make me strive to be a better person, to reach out and help others… Continue

Thanks for thinking of me, Kellyann. Yes, my health is good right now...very thankful for that! It's a reminder to me that even when things look quite dark, that "joy cometh in the morning" and that the Lord can bring us through. Hope you are well also. God bless!
