If you don't mind building stuff yourself, I really like the 'Umble' from runoffgroove. http://www.runoffgroove.com/umble.html It's pretty responsive to changes in dynamics, and has a wide range of tones. Not a great pedal for a first-time builder…

I have found the TC Electronic Nova Delay to be very performance-oriented. It not only has tap tempo, but also a feature where you can set the tempo by muting the pedal and plucking notes in time. I have a Nova Delay and enjoy when the time to use…

My advice if you were wanting to stay in standard tuning would be to start out with shapes that line up vertically - like the 'A' shape on strings 2, 3, and 4. That being said, I have played slide on my electric as well as using my lap steel, and w…

Profile Information

Home Church:
Christ Fellowship Worship Center
Musical Gift(s):
Guitar, technical arts (sound, video, etc...)
About Me:
The Judah Community is intended to be a group of musicians mentoring one another in practical ways for the building up of the Body of Christ. This should be a training resource, and not a replacement for real relationships in your church.
Favourite Music:
Captain English in Space, Second Covenant, Sand Castle, Larry Norman, Phil Keaggy, Whitecross, Shout, David Crowder, Chris Tomlin, Charlie Hall, Steve Fee

Training Tools

We recognize that an area where many churches fall short is the mentoring of artists. Our hope is to help develop the technical and spiritual gifts within those artists. May we each be challenged to do the best that we can with our gifts for the Bride of Christ.

If there are additional resources for the videos posted, they will be attached here (thanks Phil). When possible, they will be PDFs.

Reading my Pastor's book

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I fully enjoy, support, and am constantly challenged (in a good way) by the Senior Pastor at Christ Fellowship Worship Center, Mike Hoke.

I am really pumped about reading his first published work about Ehud, as I saw this book develop over a number of years. It is about principles of spiritual warfare.

I will include the link if you would like to check it out.

Things are just getting started

We've just reached the point where our technology is starting to match the vision for providing technical resources for musicians in the church. The hope is to provide some useful and practical tools and to use social networking as a distribution mechanism. There is more to come. Our hope is to provide accurate, quality presentations of useful data.
