Jen Bluhm is a singer/songwriter living and ministering in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Within her songs, you will find a growing love for the Word of God, expressed and documented bits and pieces of her heart, mind, and soul, recorded in spare moments during baby's naps and in the wee morning hours. She has been songwriting for 17 years. She hopes to continue ministering through serving Christ centered ministries and causes that come her way. Jen happens to enjoy writing original songs for various ministries, organizations, small groups, and special events. She is also available for leading congregational songs and providing musical, creative support and inspiration for worship services, conferences, retreats, and special events including weddings, baptisms, fundraisers, and concerts. Jen is married with two lovely short people who call her "Mommy". She very much enjoys coffee and chocolate. She likes to sing, and loves to write . . . and thinks she may be genetically engineered to do both!
Favourite Music:
I gravitate toward old country and bluegrass influenced musicians. I do not typically listen to songs that fall into the "worship music" category, even though I write songs that could be categorized as such. I love finding new music that is minimally produced and sincere.
Hm, any chance you're going to the Pure Worship Institute (PWI conference, hosted by Jeff Deyo) at North Central this week? Just checking, I'll be there at the Meet and Greet (hopefully) so look for me there if you go. :)
Jennifer: I left you the following comment Feb 19 ... on MY page!?!? Oops. Here's what I said:
Aw, that's SO cool Jennifer! Have you ever played there before?
Burnsville is a bit of a hike and you caught me on a really busy weekend unfortunately or I'd love to come meet you and hear you in person ... Incidentally, I'm playing at Maple Grove Northwestern in March, a benefit to rebuild a church in Sudan that was destroyed by the militia. We have a small church with a really big heart for Sudan.
Haha, my daughter just came in from her "nap" and says the dog is doing so good on her bed. Maybe I need to log off now!!
(what part of Mpls do you hail from?)
Jenn, I have listened to the first two of your songs and I must say that I am a fan! Truly a fan!
There is always a little trepidation when listening to original music but I must say I am pleasantly surprised. You brought a smile to my face. My wife was waling throgh the office and said "what is that. I like it."
Jennifer
I truly love the songs. I would like to communicate through email if that is alright with you.
