I am married to a wonderful and patient woman and have 8 children (blended family) and 6 grand children. I was saved in Jan. of 1983 and have had my share of prodigal son periods. I have been serving in my church in various ministries for the last 15+ years, mostly in some form of worship i.e. sound tech ,choir etc... I've been playing rhythm guitar and harmony vocal for past 4years and by default have found myself leading worship for the last year. I am not a stellar guitar player but I can keep a beat and I can carry a tune if I don't forget my bucket. I love to worship our Heavenly Father and count it a privilege to lead His people into His presence.
anything Chris Tomlin, Paul Baloche, Matt Redman and some of the old Hymns. Third Day is also at top of my list
Favorite Bible Verses / Passages:
"...for it's by grace you are saved not that of works lest any one should boast." This one helps when my mind tends to wander."... as a man thinks in his heart so is he ... from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."

Hey, Jerry! Thanks for the welcome ... it's a new year & wanting to start off right, connected to the larger body of believers with all their experience, wisdom & passion (zeal) for the Lord and participating in the great privilege of leading other in the worship of Him!
Alright Jerry, Judging from your secular music you used to listen to, I'd say we close to the same age. I graduated high school in 75, saw Lynard Skynard at least 5 or 6 times and all of those bands of the 70s.
