Leading worship with guitar, song writing, preaching, praying for the sick, reaching the lost.
About Me:
Garry is a graduate of Christ for The Nations Canada . He is an ordained minister and has been leading worship for well over 14 years in both churches and conferences in Canada the U.S.A and Internationally with his wife Kim. His songs with C.C.L.I. are being sung in churches around the world . Todd Bentley of Fresh Fire Ministries. www.freshfire.ca The CD "Pour Out Your Spirit" is a heavy anointed CD, which brings you into rejoicing praise and intimate worship. Todd Bentley personally feels that Garry carries a fresh fragrance of wine for the new wave of what is being birthed in the church concerning contemporary worship. Most of Garry's songs are original and intimate. His intimate style is similar to that of Matt Redman. REVIEW: www.worshipleader.com Worship Leader Magazine If you have been looking for some new songs to add to your services, Garry Mulgrew's originals would be sure to please. "God Is Good" is a simple concept song that is upbeat and easy to learn. The title song "Pour Out Your Spirit" could be used for the contemplative times in your service where you want to lead your congregation in personal worship. REVIEW: www.Canadianchristianity.com Most of the songs on this CD are by Garry Mulgrew, a former worship leader at Abbotsford City Fellowship who recently moved to Tyler Texas. "Whom Shall I Fear" is a good electric anthem; Let Everything That Has Breath"starts quiet, and then very effectively builds in intensity. On that song, as well as "Pour Out Your Spirit" and "Day And Night" Kim Mulgrew shares in the lead vocals; she also does a great solo job on "Waves Of Grace". Other highlights include the powerful "Leviticus Song" and the semi-psychedeilic "You Are Holy". This is a heartfelt, dynamic worship album, graced with fine vocals. Garry and Kim have been leading worship for conferences and churches for over 13 years. We are now setting up our 2009 schedule If you would like to have them come to minister in your area please email them @ kgmulgrew@gmail.com
Favorite Music:
My influences have been the Holy Spirit as He has lead me to brokenness, humility and a heart desperate to have Face to Face encounters with the Father. Some of the people who have influenced my life are Keith Green, Mother Teresa, Bono, St. Francis of Assisi, those who care about the poor and hurting and moved enough to action to rescue them. For worship leaders Brian Doerksen, David Ruis and most of the earlier Vineyard worship
Favorite Bible Verses / Passages:
Mt 25:21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

Hi there everyone my wife and I are playing on 2 TBN shows today and would love your prayers. This is a great opportunity to release worship over the airwaves. It will be a back to back show. Please pray

1. That Jesus would be glorified and lifted up to draw all men.

2. The anointing of God to flow unhindered through us as we offer up our worship.

3. The healing virtue of Jesus would flow out to heal, save and deliver people.

4. No broken strings missed up sound (you know…

Thoughts On Worship

Posted on February 7, 2009 at 9:47pm 0 Comments

If you are alive and reading this blog you are a worshiper. Now I did not say you had to go to church or be a religious person, but you were made to worship and something or someone is the center of your worship. I believe that what you give your full and undivided attention to can become your object of worship. People worship their cars or their jobs or even people. But what is worship? And what should it look like and when we find out how should we respond?

Stretching Your Faith (Living Dangerous) Pt. 2

Part 2

Jesus feeding the 5000 (Matt 14:19

Peter walking on the water (Matt 14:29)

It's interesting that Jesus would say

Lk 18:8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

Faith rests on God's power and not human wisdom!

1Co 2:4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the… Continue

Stretching Your Faith (Living Dangerous) PT1

Posted on February 7, 2009 at 9:41pm 0 Comments

Has God told us we can we really increase our faith? And if we are called to stretch our faith what should it look like?

Practical Faith

Dangerous Faith

I really believe for me it is season to begin to be stretched in my faith. It is said we are living in a post-Christian era, and yet we are studying scriptures of a pre-Christian era. According to The Barna Group young people are saying "that present-day Christianity is no longer like… Continue

On the whole keyboardists are far less particular with sound than guitarists are. I think it's because on the guitar you are far more involved with creating the sound, while many people just type away on the keyboards with as much enthusiasm and attention as a Winword or Excel document... Hmmm... maybe I should get back to the pet peeves discussion and bring this up! :)

Thanks for commenting on my video! What you shared was something I realized ages ago after I started playing guitar, which is why I recommend every worship pianist take up the guitar. Do you think there is a need for a similar video for guitar players? I don't think I'm up to doing it... :)

Great to hear from you Gary, yeah things are fine here to, we are just waiting for all the paper work to be finalized as we prepare to be in OSOYOOS Canada soon to be part of a door that has opened for us in regards to our destiny and call, we are eager to be in the will of our FATHER in these days ,nothing else can satisfy and we are truly humbled that HE has found us worthy in this regard PLEASE pray for us Gary as these proceedings take place, and yes their is warfare like never experienced in ministries today as the kingdoms of darkness fall at the radiance of HIS GLORY, and we are in the war zone now, but HE WILL GIVE HIS ANGELS CHARGE OVER THOSE THAT will make HIS voice and heart heard.BLESSINGS LUIS

I can feel a wonderful sense of liberty in the worship going on here and it's such a blessing to me. This is the prophetic worship that the church needs to embrace and adopt so that the Holy Spirit can be more present in services around the world. It's really an atmosphere of surrender to the presence of God. How can God draw near to his people if they are always so busy playing church ? He requires our commitment to a relationship in which he is the head and we follow his lead. Most services organize the time in such a way that our agendas exclude what God has planned for the meeting. " Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven and his righteousness ..... "
