David Gonzalez replied to Larry Reed's discussion 'Who is the Holy Spirit?' in the group Songwriter's Circle - Get Song Feedback
"Song about the Holy Spirit and Jesus. "I Cannot Hide My Love" by Enter the Worship Circle. Very simple 1 verse and 1 chorus song and pretty good too! There is one other I think it's called "Higher" or "Take Me…"

David Gonzalez replied to Charles Wolff's discussion 'You Are My Glory' in the group Songwriter's Circle - Get Song Feedback
"Well written! I think it would work very well as a congregation song too! I like how you do a little play on words in the first line of the chorus. "Glory yes". Without reading the lyric it sounds like you're saying…"

David Gonzalez replied to Shaun Walker's discussion 'I Will Dwell - again!' in the group Songwriter's Circle - Get Song Feedback
"I like it! Very simple. I could've used to hear more expression from the singing though. It all kind of "yawnish" except at the very end somebody starts going for it a little. Like in the Johnny Cash movie "sing it like you mean…"

David Gonzalez replied to Isaac McGuire's discussion 'Who Am I' in the group Songwriter's Circle - Get Song Feedback
"Okay. First your story kept my attention and I love the redemptive message at the end. I agree with the other comment about the past, present and future tense thing but not the other stuff. He may be reading a little too much into it. Anyway, I…"

Christopher Anthony Dresbach replied to David Gonzalez's discussion '"We Want More" New song' in the group Songwriter's Circle - Get Song Feedback
"Great song! I think even the tempo could work fine although speeding it up just slightly may make a difference. As for the la-di-das, I agree that they should be removed. My suggestion is that you replace them with a short set of words like "We…"

"Jenn, you're such a purist! That's one of the things I love about you. Yes, I would describe this as a soaking song. A time of passion in deep worship with everyone singing in one voice at the top of their lungs. WE WANT MORE, GOD!!!!…"

Jennifer Bluhm replied to David Gonzalez's discussion '"We Want More" New song' in the group Songwriter's Circle - Get Song Feedback
"David, I was not troubled by the tempo one bit. In fact, I liked it just fine. I think that could be because I hear it as a song for soaking and contemplation, not Christian Pop Worship or whatever. I see it as anointed and purposeful, not as much…"

"Yes, it did turn out sleepy. That's how I felt about it the first time I listened to in on play back. I recorded it at 1:30am that night. And I was very sleepy. Maybe I should try recording during the day and see if that make any difference.…"

David! I hope you are well. I have been busy . . . staying up too late and recording. I wanted to point you my latest concoction! The song is called "The Lord Goes Before You", its an encouragement and exhortation, written in place of a paper for my Old Testament course. Hope you enjoy it! You'll find it on my profile, the first song. Blessings, David. I look forward to connecting again soon! I haven't forgotten about your song . . .

About children . . .I have two girls. One is almost 7 and the other is almost two. They are a unique challenge everyday!!! That whole terrible two thing? Well, each year has its ups and many, many, many, "phases" that it would be nice to skip!

David, I have been listening this evening. I really appreciate the acoustic qualities of your music. Your melodies are really beautiful and memorable, but interesting. I can get really critical and bored sometimes with contemporary praise songs. I enjoyed "How You Bless Me" - listening to it made me thankful right along with you! I particularly like the lyrics of "Lord, You Amaze Me", especially the way you used the words "count" and "reach" in the first and second verses. I like to use similar techniques. Your songs bridge the gap between corporate praise songs and those that one would put on to listen to throughout their day. I think we are similar in that as well! In "No Other Name", I like the harmony line and the simple repetitive melody and lyrics in the beginning. Its perfect for singing along, and then the interest comes in the second part of the song satisfying the need for something more "meaty". I am super diggin' the chorus of "God of All the Earth". After listening to your melody lines and love of harmony, I am not surprised that you like my songs and I like yours! Bless you David. Please let me encourage you and help you out in any way that you think I may be able to! Do you have any songs that you feel stuck in at the moment? I am beginning to think about writing songs for children (that adults won't hate) that teach children how to follow Jesus and who God is and how He loves us and what He wants for us . . . Bless you, bless you,
Jen

Co-Writing sounds great! I will take some time soon to listen to you songs. I am a mom of two small children, so I never know when I'll get the chance to be at my computer, but I am sure it won;t be too long before I find a moment again!

Hey David...love "No Other Name" - Really chilled out groove that I just sat back and listened/worshiped with....great stuff! Love the phrase "How can we stay the same?" Great question when we're standing in His presence eh?

I am reading thru your comments I don't understand how you know all of this since I visited your church by getting directions off the website. I wanted to see how good you were since I have an opening at my church. The sound at your church is all wrong. It is not the sound person since I was just listening to you. You need to stick to acoustic guitar, and learn more about electric playing. It sounded like pure static coming out of your amp. What settings are you using? or do you even know what your doing.
