- I hadn't played for about 25 years. but stood in for a few months when our church was short of drummers.We now have a god drummer and a promising youngster learning the ropes, so I just fill in occasionally. I find more freedom in allowing the drummer to take the kit and I supplement with cymbals and assorted percussion as the Lord leads. These days I have a preference for the guitar. The dilemma came in prioritizing what little spare time I had: practise hard on the guitar; study Scripture or spend time in prayer. The latter two won, so the guitar is just a leisure activity.
How about you, do you play an instrument; did the Lord gift you with a good voice, or both?
