Danny L. Davis replied to john smith's discussion 'Who Gets To Play?'

Profile Information

Home Church:
New Beginnings Wesleyan Fellowship
Musical Gift(s):
Vocals, Guitar, some percussion, some music writing
About Me:
55 years old; 43 years in Iowa, 3 in Minnesota, 9 in Oklahoma. 20 years of secular music performing before being called out into ministry. Married 36 years, 2 married daughters, 5 grandchildren. I am solo pastor of a small, committed congregation that has had a new beginning in the past year, moving to a freshly built new church (mostly in-house labor) changing the name and working to have a fresh impact in our community. I lead the worship with three different teams of vocalists and most Sunday we only have my guitar instrumentally, although some weeks we are blessed to have keyboards, as well. I sing for several engagements a year outside the church as part of a Gospel Quartet named Cross Members, consisting of a southern Baptist minister, a worship team member from an independent Charismatic Church, a layman from a Mennonite Brethren Church and myself. Music has always been the direct line to my heart. On occasion I have the opportunity and joy to lead worship for some of the Wesleyan Flame weeks, which is a real hoot as several of us who often don't even know each other and are involved in worship in our home churches around the country come together cold and let God make a worship team out of us for a week. Videos of some of these times with myself and othersw are usually available on the "I Love Flame" group page on facebook.

Brother Danny,
Welcome to the Rock. There are a great number of resources here for those in the music ministry leadership, for songwriters and music composers.

I invite you to visit our page to listen to Eagles In Flight music on the player. I am band director, songwriter and lead vocalist for E.I.F. and we're celebrating our 12Th year of Praise, Worship and Christian Rock ballads. We perform free fellowship concerts throughout Central Virginia with a talented cast of Spirit filled musicians and singers who come together to celebrate Jesus!

You can download our music to your profile with the song link located at the top of you profile page. Just type in Eagles In Flight and you'll see 8 songs from our new CD. You can download a lot of great music from WTR from many Christian artists who are members of the Rock.

God Bless your ministry!
