About Me:
I am a worship pastor at Word in Season in Tucson. I have a deep desire to teach God's people to worship Him at all times and not just the good times. And to learn to see His glory in everything around them. I have recorded one CD entitled, In the Shadows, and am getting ready to work on the next one which will probably be titled, It's Raining Again.
Favorite Music:
Matt Redman is my favorite worship leader with Chris Tomlin coming in a very close second. : ) So I guess you would say worship music is my favorite Christian music.
Favorite Bible Verses / Passages:
Psalm 19 for passage, the Gospel of John for Book.

learning curves....

I recently (June 2009) stepped down as worship pastor at a church and left so that I could help my daughter find a church she could get plugged into. This was a sad time, but not difficult. I would rather see my girls worshiping God with all they are than be a well celebrated worship pastor any where in the world. But you want to know the most frustrating part for me.....re-learning to worship without critiquing the team. : \ I try hard not to get into a critique mode, but I almost always find… Continue

Psalm 19

The other day I was in a burger joint getting some breakfast and this lady asked me which Psalm was Psalm 19. (It happens to be my license plate on my car.) And I told her how it starts to refresh her memory of which one it is. When she left I got to thinking about the chapter as a whole. It has a definite progression. The psalmist starts out observing the sky and sees God's glory in it. Then he starts to reflect on God's Word and is brought to a realization that he is lost without God. And he… Continue

I know.....that was fast. : )

I found a file hosting site that would allow me to upload a file that was 60MB. So now if you go to Psalm 19 Records, you can download In the Shadows in mp3 format at anytime. Thanx.

Sorry I needed to give them back their space on their server. If you would still like the mp3's email me and I can send them to you. Thank you to all who downloaded the album. Once I find free space that amounts to 60M I will put it back up. thx

I am making my CD, In the Shadows available for free download for a couple of weeks. I can't leave it up for too long, because I am borrowing space on a friends server. So if you would like a copy of In The Shadows, go to… Continue

How do you see God? What is He like?

Part 1 - God is a mystery

It has been said that to keep the romance alive in a relationship, one should always keep a little bit of mystery about themselves. Or that one should have a touch of unpredictability. The same could be said of God. God compares His relationship to us on one level to the relationship between a husband and wife. But where we can never have any mystery about ourselves to God, we can never truly say that we know all there is to know of God. He is always a mystery and… Continue
