Some of you may know that I have been in a 2 yr dry spell from writing any songs. I haven't written anything since before my brain popped and I needed surgery to stop the bleeding.
I have had many people tell me that I would write many songs from this experience etc... and nothing has come out of me at all. I even lost my voice for a period of time, due to nodules on my vocal chords from the surgery. So that's where I've been.

Cricket was always fretting.

"Everyone is listening," she chirped. "Every note must be
perfect."

Cricket had a gift for reaching others with her music. She could change her
tune to suit her listener. She could perk you up with a bouncy melody, liven

I have been in a funk for the last few weeks and I am not sure why but I figure if I write about it something may come to mind to help me out of it. I just finished Donald Miller's book Through the Painted Desert and I want to highly recommend it. I also want to give Donald credit for my shout message "Stop long enough to engage the obvious" I think the Obvious is a metaphor for God.
This book really makes you look at the way you are living life and question if it is the way God wants us to be living. After reflection, my answer is I think not.
