One Song into Another (pairing songs together) - pairs that work well

thought it would be worthwhile to hear suggestions from others on songs that work well together.  ie., one song that transitions well into another because the music (key) and lyrical content are the same/similar.

to get the discussion started, here are two "pairs" that we've used which i'm sure many have heard/used before...

1)   How Great Is Our God => How Great Thou Art

coming out of the chorus of HGIOG ("how great, how great, is our God...", right into chorus of HGTA ("then sings my soul...") by putting a passing chord between (i don't have my guitar with me, but i can post the key and transition chord if someone's interested).  there is a tempo change, so don't try this on the fly :)

2) How Great Thou Art => I Stand In Awe

from chorus of HGTA ("how great Thou art, how great, Thou art...") => passing chord => chorus of ISIA ("and i stand, i stand, in awe of You...").  again, i throw in a passing chord, which gives everyone the key for the next song, as well as allows me to speak the first few words of "and i stand..." so everyone knows where we're going..

I've done that first one, after the Chris Tomlin version on the "Passion: How Great Is Our God" CD.

Another combo I like is Michael W Smith on "Step by Step" and "Forever We Will Sing"

I use the chorus of "Worthy is the Lamb" with a couple of songs, like "I Will Rise" (C. Tomlin) going into the WitL chorus after the bridge. Last Sunday we did "Unashamed Love" going into chorus of WitL, then we used the dominant sus chord after "Worthy is the Lamb" to get into "God of Wonders."

We've also sung the chorus of "Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone)" (C. Tomlin) in between the verses of "Jesus Loves the Little Children" - finding the right tempo was tricky, but once we did, it was cool.

We've talked about taking hymns that don't have choruses and pairing them with choruses we like, or writing our own choruses, but we haven't done that yet. :P
I love going into Hillsong United's "The Stand" (just the chorus..."I'll stand with arms high and heart abandon...") from just about anything in the key of A. Like, "Give Us Clean Hands" or "Mighty to Save" to name a couple.
thanks Andy... i hadn't heard this song before... the chorus IS a great response and as you said, could fit into almost anything..
"I Give Myself Away" pairs well with The old hymn "Jesus Use Me" or "If You Can USe Anything Lord You Can Use Me"
I do this ALL THE TIME! How about: Forever-You're Worthy Of My Praise-You Are Holy or Mighty To Save-You Never Let Go or Be The Centre-Jesus, All For Jesus... I've got a million of them.
Have you heard of the Starfield song "All for You" ("It's all for you, It's all for you. I'm letting go, I'm letting go.")? It's another one with a good, easy chorus that can stand alone. I use to go into just the chorus of "All for You" from "Hungry" and hang out there for a little while. Doing both songs in the key of C.
I have gone back and forth between 'Awaken' (Jon Bauer) to 'Let God Arise' (Chris Tomlin). They go very well together without stopping. You can go right from one to the other without missing a beat!!
I like to throw down a funky beat on "More Love, More Power" and roll it into "Praise Adonai".
Also, "Forever" into "Not to us"
