@Ian Oh that's great.  I will diffienatley need some help. Anywhere you feel you are good at doing then please let me know.  Right now I am looking for a building to host it.

@ Toni. London is fine. What building did you have in mind?  Can it hold a fair amount of people?

Hi SOS, I would be interested in ministering at the event doing a praise & worship session. Please give it some prayer and let me know how you are led. Where are you looking to hold the event and what other needs do you have, fundraising/helping the needy is dear to my heart. We can talk more in detail by email if you like, many blessings, Ian :-)

In Bangor North Wales we never get any. Until this Christmas...and yes, my car was dreadful!!

SOS - are you looking for a building in London?

Brenda - I used to live in the Croydon area, and we would frequently get substantial amounts of snow (I left there >20 years ago). When we were first married we went for a walk in a local park one night on the way back from a housegroup meeting. It was a winter wonderland, with 3-4 foot deep drifts.

Without wishing to bang on about it, car and tyre design has changed substantially, and cars handle snow much less well than they used to without winter tyres.

@SOS Vocals - true ;-)

Happy New Year to you and best wishes for your Haiti Worship Concert. Still a huge amount of need there...

@ James, lol.

Once this group gets its teeth into a subject, it can go on foreeeever.

Just had visions of snow being discussed for weeks and my email box full of comments about the weather.  No!   No!   No!     :-)

@Brenda - your M25 experience is certainly no laughing matter. But your snow team guys sound like real gems!

@SOS Vocals, sorry, didn't mean to bore you with snow tales! :-) Just tryin to make conversation like...

Ok, enough about snow already. Happy New Year Ladies and Gents.

I am think about doing another Worship Concert to raise funds for Haiti, anyone interested in helping me organise or ministering at the event?

I think the first thing i need help with first is a building.

I am in the Glasgow area too but at a higher altitude and we have a snow-clearing team in the church. The guys get a text message when they are needed to go and clear the church car park for the Sunday morning. They do a great job so that those who can manage to get out of their own street can get to church. The car park is on a hill so is treacherous and these dedicated men do the back-breaking work to keep the church open.

We did have a couple of evening services cancelled but most mornings were surprisingly well-attended.

As for laughing at southerners - I was in SE London during the bad week when Gatwick was closed and was stuck on the east M25 for 8 hours. It was no laughing matter and the snow in the Croydon area was every bit as bad we have up here, though it was unusual for them.

@Toni - I see you are in the Heyford area. Used to live in Oxfordshire so I remember just the sort of weather the area can get!

@Ian - I imagine being in Glasgow you probably just get this sort of thing every year and laugh at us southerners!! BTW Do you think that there's a connection between those who 'really want to be there' and the quality/volume of the singing?
